Less than 48 hrs from now

My parents and I will be setting up at the Fort.

This is our first every trip to FW and my parents first ever stay on property. They left yesterday morning around 7am from PA and made it to Orangeburg, SC yesterday evening around 6:45pm. This is a joyous moment as nothing went wrong on their trip down to there so far. See in February when they traveled to Daytona, they lost the hub off the trailer and lost a week due to not being able to get the correct parts.

Mom called me this morning around 7am and they were on the road again to stop in Daytona until Friday morning. I fly out tomorrow morning and we are staying at AS Sports and going to MVMCP tomorrow night. We will then help mom and dad get the camper set up and get the decorations set up and the rest of the day is free for us.

When we check in at FW I will post where we are located.

We are here, set up and relaxing. We are in the 1900 loop. The only issue we have had so far is they can't find our luggage from the transfer from All Star Sports.

How hard can it be for them going cross-property with a set of luggage? I wonder if they put it into the airport-bus delivery system. What goobs...

Sorry I didn't respond any sooner...I was having too much fun at the parks. The weather was fabulous. The only "sour" part was Monday night at HS. We were getting ready to leave Fantasmic and it started pouring. Now it was one of those 15 min showers but it was a strong shower so I was soaked. It was hot the first 3 days and then it finally cooled down some. We decided to pull out a little early to get a jump on getting to Daytona to keep the camper until the middle of January. The CM at FW were super nice and refunded out last day. They didn't have to do that because we were checking out after checkout time.

Sounds like you had a great time. I will say the pleasant surprised like a refund they didnt have to give is one of the reasons I keep comming back to their resort. Since your heading to Daytona, go check out the Karts, they start their national race weekend at Daytona Speedway. Its insane to see those little carts flying around Daytona.

Sorry ya got soaked at Fantasmic,,but isn't it great to be able to say" It was hot the first 3 days and then it finally cooled down" at the end of December !

We only stayed in Daytona for one night. The camper is staying until my parents get back in a couple of weeks. They are going back down for the NASCAR races in Feb and staying for about 2 months (gotta love the retired life). It is going to be hard to put on boots and heavy clothes tomorrow when we get home. The other bonus is we are taking back some fresh strawberries and oranges. Can't wait to start eating them.
