I thought I was seeing things...
I also saw quite a few too, not as many as last time though, and Yes that Moon was Bright!
I'm not sure if you mean me, but I thought that I was seeing things too!

I had only gotten a few hours of sleep, and had just stepped outside about five minutes before I saw this.
My BF wasn't going to come out. I saw two regular shooting stars as soon as I opened the door. I started screaming for him to come out. When he opened the door and started walking toward me, a huge fireball sailed across the sky, and left a trail for atleast 30 seconds! He didn't see it, and it was the best one. It was a bright, white flash, I didn't notice any other colors coming from it.
I didn't do a count of how many I saw. I've read on an astronomy site that someone in Philadelphia saw 16 in a five minute span. I'm not all that far from Philly. I'm so glad that a lot of us had good views this year, especially if we didn't last year.
The leonids aren't supposed to be spectacular again until 2098, although maybe we'll see some fainter shows. I guess we always have the Geminids, and the other meteor showers. Don't forget to look on Dec. 14, for the Geminids, although I'm not sure what to expect.
