Leiana and Dakota's PJ 4-27-09 DCL Wedding & Disneymoon. Day 9 is up!

Last Tuesday I received my wedding certificate from A Wedding For You.

Thursday night after work we had a meeting with a Notary Public to get it all signed and legal.

Friday after work we sent it back to A Wedding For You by courier and they should be receiving it today.

So lets just hope that there are no screw ups on my certificate.

And the date for my wedding shower has been set. This Sunday the 29th at my cousins house. I'm really excited because I didn't expect a shower so this is kind of a bonus for me.

Plus I know my family will want to see pics of my dress and want to know about all the choices I've made as only my sister and I are on the disboards. Only really e-mailed them the details once and not sure if my Aunt sent it along.

(Hmm...wonder if they want me to bring my bride ears.)

I'm at 34 days out. The wait is getting to be almost unbearable. Thankfully I have little things like these to count down to so it doesn't seem so bad.

(My DF favourite countdown is: only 31 more days until 2 weeks off work)

Besides all my paperwork should be coming soon.

I don't know how I missed your PJ! Our weddings are 2 days apart and we'll be at WDW the same time! I'll be there from 4/27-5/4!! Maybe we'll run into eachother!!

Honestly I think the only thing I have left to do is go to the eye doctor to get some disposable contacts. I look way better without the glasses.

There is a good chance we may see each other. I'll be at POFQ from April 30 - May 7. I will have my bride ears & just married button on so I should be easy to spot.

I guess I also need to figure out a Birthday gift for DF as his birthday is April 29.

Yay!

All my guests got their room assignments!

They were all GTY CAT 12 and last night DCL gave them their room numbers.

They did still stay CAT 12's but they're all in a row. So 5 of the 6 starboard side category 12's are my guests.

I told my sister I feel sorry for the last stateroom they're the odd man out.

You know you guys got me thinking. I still have to plan my at home reception. I mean my Aunt is holding it but anything special is up to me.

I'm looking to get a cake at Costco with "Congratulations" on it. That way it will fit the complete theme of the party. (My wedding, my Aunt's 30th anniversary, and my Dad's 65th birthday)

Or do you think I should get "Congratulations Leiana and Dakota" and put my Mickey & Minnie cake topper on it?

I also figured I'd get some balloons at the dollar store with happy anniversary, happy birthday and congratulations. I could even get a helium tank at work to add some extra oomph to the decorations.

Oh and of course I'll have photos from the trip. Plus I plan to give everyone a wedding picture.

Part of me want to say to go all out with the mickey theme - but if it is a shared event it might not be the best idea. If you get a gigantic sheet cake from costco can you have something for you in one corner and a birthday message in another and anniversary message somewhere on it. I feel like if the cake is big enough they should be able to intertwine all three and do a really cool cake. Then you could just do something small and mickey near your names. You could do something like the interlocking mickey heads - it would be easy and be very disney weddingish.

I forget when your home recption is - but if there is enough time I would just wait get through the wedding and see what inspires you! Then order everything when you get home.

Those are great ideas. I'll run them by my Aunt on Sunday at the wedding shower.

So I got my Disney Fairy Tale Weddings folder today.

It came with 2 really nice "Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings" luggage tags in a little organza bag.

Yay my first gift!

My ceremony time is set for 5:30pm on Deck 7 Aft.

And my hair appointment is scheduled for 3:00 pm.

So on Sunday I had my wedding shower at my cousin's house.

It was nice only 7 of us but it was the perfect amount.

I got some bath sheets, some kitchen utensils, bathroom supplies, a photo album and a couple of things off my wedding registy. They even started a scrapbook for me and everyone wrote some words of wisdom for me. Everyone in attendance is married. (Except for me of course)

My one Aunt is even making an embroidery item with Mickey and Minnie on it. She was mostly done; just has to put our names on it and the date of the wedding. I wish I had pics of it because it is so cute!

And they appreciated that I wore the bride ears.

Well firstly Happy Easter!

Friday we got our first taste of holiday time. We had passes to go to our local indoor waterpark after work. So not only did we get the swimming and hot tub time in but we also had the waiting in a long line part too.

We get on the cruise in 2 weeks.

Everyone is so excited. I plan to start packing some time this week.

It is definitely unbelievable how quick the day is coming. I still need to finalize my hair style for the day and choose some of my must have wedding shots.

So last night my DF and I were supposed to meet up at a local restaurant with one of our managers as she was going to buy us a "congratulations" dinner.

Well when we showed up there it was infact about 12 of our co-workers. They had planned a surprise wedding shower for us.

And if that wasn't shocking enough they handed us a card filled with tons of congratulations messages as well as $270 US cash!

With the exchange rate they probably collected $340- $350 Canadian.

We're both still floored by this as the most we figured we'd just get was a cake on Friday in the breakroom.
