Day 1
Saturday morning April 25
We got to sleep in a little bit. My BIL wasn't going to be at our house until about 10:30/ 11:00 AM so we didn't need to be up until 10.
I woke up at 9:30 when his sister came over. Worked out fine for me because I had to call the credit card company to make sure they knew I was going to be in the States.
I tried to have some juice to drink but I was so worried that I was gonna forget to pack something I was just a complete bundle of nerves.

(BTW I did forget to bring the camera cord to transfer pics onto the laptop - thank heavens my sister brought eight)
By quarter to 11 we had all the luggage waiting outside and I called my Mom one last time before we left.
As my Dad and BIL loaded up our luggage, Dakota ran inside to say goodbye to his Mom and she gave him a big
Then we were off. First stop was McDonalds to grab some lunch and some extra cheeseburgers for the plane ride.
Not long after that we were at the airport and the journey began.
Clearing American customs was easy and pain free thank heavens.
Well DH was nearly petrified of the flight. Think Marge Simpson! He even admitted he felt a couple moments that he wanted to start screaming let me off, let me off! When the plane started to taxi the runway he says to me " Shouldn't we be picking up speed?"

I told him we're not at the runway yet. So I think that made it worse for him. He gripped those armrests - as well as my arm - so tight that he almost had the white knuckles.
The rest of the flight to Minneapolis he was fine (No turbulance) and he even managed to sleep a tiny bit. But he refused to look out the window.
Now the landing was a different story. As we started to descend, he dared to look out the window at the exact moment the plane banked to the right so all he saw was the land right below him. Ok he was freaked. The noise of the wing flaps and landing gear didn't help matters.
We had a slightly bumpy landing but nothing really bad but the speed we landed at made DH yell to himself "Stop and Go Back!" It was cute and even he can laugh about it know .
He called his Mom from the airport after we landed so she'd know he was alright and then we grabbed a quick bite before the flight to Orlando.
He was still nervous but the nice older gentleman next to us tried to keep him relaxed and his attention off the take off. We did have some slight turbulance on this leg of the trip but still nothing that really joustled you out of the seat.
I was happy once we got to MCO because by that point I just wanted to sleep. Our room at the Hyatt was 10th floor, King bed and balcony facing the airport. OMG it was a spectacular view you could even see the really nice pool they have! (DH wanted to go in but it was too late and we needed to sleep) I'll post pics once I get them off my laptop. Oh and it had TONS of pillows. I use lots at home DH couldn't understand the need for so many and put most of them on the floor.
Still a bundle of nerves so it took until 2AM to fall asleep and we had to be up at 8. One thing I was really happy about was that I could adjust the thermostat to 15 degrees celsius (68 F) I love it cold when I sleep.
Sorry I write so much and there are no pics this time I promise some in the next post.
