Leiana and Dakota's PJ 4-27-09 DCL Wedding & Disneymoon. Day 9 is up!

Just read your PJ too!! OMG! How excited are you?! Hope to see lots and lots of pictures from your wedding/trip when you return! Good luck! It's going to be beautiful! :thumbsup2

YAY Thats soo exciting!!! Are you having your makeup done at the spa too? What did you choose out of all of the categories in the packet?

Its always so much fun to get surprised! Glad you had a great night. Have fun packing!

OMG you guys have no idea how excited we are!

My friend is gonna be doing my makeup so all I need to have done at the spa is my hair. I'm still planning on wearing it down but you never know I could change my mind.

DF had his hair done at a local hairdresser for $15. Figured it was a much better deal then paying the Disney price, especially for a little trim. :thumbsup2.

I also got most of my packing done on Tuesday so all that's left for tomorrow is the few last minute stuff. :yay:

Ok, we leave tomorrow! :woohoo:

Thank heavens for an afternoon flight. No early morning.

I hate to say it I'm a worry-wort. I am probably at stress level 8. All the last minute things seem to be adding up and I just think something will be forgotten.

As it is I forgot to phone the credit card company and tell them I'd be in the States for 10 days.
Oh well there is always tomorrow. I will be glad once we are on the plane.

Packing is 100% complete. Everything else is up to DF.

How exciting! Please tell us all about it when you get back!!

Congrats!! :cool1:

OMG!!!! I don't know how I missed your PJ. First of congratulations on your engagement, and your very soon upcoming wedding!

Second, I love your dress. I too got one with pick ups on the skirt. It seems so princess-like to me. The shoes you chose also look great. It is hard to find a dressy sandal like that.

Third, I hope you have a blast on your trip!!!

And last, I want a full report with lots of pictures :rotfl:

I can't wait to see how everything turns out. You are going to be a beautiful bride.

Ok I thought I had posted this before but apparently it never showed up so I must not have submitted:confused3

We just got back late last night. It was awesome!

I figured I'd give you guys a little sneak peek.

We had our at home reception today. It went ok. One of his brothers never showed up and didn't call to let us know they were not coming so we kinda waited for nothing.

And then his other brother forgot one of the car seats for his sister's sons and I had to drive to her place on the other end of the city to pick that up.

So that left 2 cars of people heading out to my Aunt's house with my DH none of which really had any idea where they were going even with my nearly exact directions. LOL

I was supposed to be there at 2 and I got there at 3:30 :headache: (I hate being late, it almost killed me :sad2:)

But there was still food. And everyone loved our pictures.

Beautiful pic! I loved your flowers! You give me hope!

Can't wait for more pictures!! popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::

Dakota picked the flowers. EVERYONE commented today on how lovely they were and asked what kind they were.

I felt kinda bad that they couldn't come home with us. And I do not like flowers. They still looked fresh the morning we left. No wilting whatsoever.

Here's a nicer photo of them

For any of you DCL brides my photographer on the Wonder was Jovan. He was very professional and friendly and our coordinator Rodrigo said he's done quite a few weddings. Not sure if he was the photographer for the wedding that happened just before ours or not. But I believe he did their Castaway Cay pics the next day.

BEAUTIFUL!

Some of the past brides have been able to bring their flowers off the ship with them.....I'm just going to go with Silk i think.

Well that would've been nice but I know that I could never bring them back to Canada :sad1:

Silk is a great way to go. You can find some really nice ones and you are not limited by growing seasons.

Day 1

Saturday morning April 25

We got to sleep in a little bit. My BIL wasn't going to be at our house until about 10:30/ 11:00 AM so we didn't need to be up until 10.
I woke up at 9:30 when his sister came over. Worked out fine for me because I had to call the credit card company to make sure they knew I was going to be in the States.

I tried to have some juice to drink but I was so worried that I was gonna forget to pack something I was just a complete bundle of nerves. :scared: (BTW I did forget to bring the camera cord to transfer pics onto the laptop - thank heavens my sister brought eight)
By quarter to 11 we had all the luggage waiting outside and I called my Mom one last time before we left.

As my Dad and BIL loaded up our luggage, Dakota ran inside to say goodbye to his Mom and she gave him a big

Then we were off. First stop was McDonalds to grab some lunch and some extra cheeseburgers for the plane ride.
Not long after that we were at the airport and the journey began.

Clearing American customs was easy and pain free thank heavens.

Well DH was nearly petrified of the flight. Think Marge Simpson! He even admitted he felt a couple moments that he wanted to start screaming let me off, let me off! When the plane started to taxi the runway he says to me " Shouldn't we be picking up speed?" :lmao: I told him we're not at the runway yet. So I think that made it worse for him. He gripped those armrests - as well as my arm - so tight that he almost had the white knuckles.

The rest of the flight to Minneapolis he was fine (No turbulance) and he even managed to sleep a tiny bit. But he refused to look out the window.
Now the landing was a different story. As we started to descend, he dared to look out the window at the exact moment the plane banked to the right so all he saw was the land right below him. Ok he was freaked. The noise of the wing flaps and landing gear didn't help matters.
We had a slightly bumpy landing but nothing really bad but the speed we landed at made DH yell to himself "Stop and Go Back!" It was cute and even he can laugh about it know .

He called his Mom from the airport after we landed so she'd know he was alright and then we grabbed a quick bite before the flight to Orlando.
He was still nervous but the nice older gentleman next to us tried to keep him relaxed and his attention off the take off. We did have some slight turbulance on this leg of the trip but still nothing that really joustled you out of the seat.

I was happy once we got to MCO because by that point I just wanted to sleep. Our room at the Hyatt was 10th floor, King bed and balcony facing the airport. OMG it was a spectacular view you could even see the really nice pool they have! (DH wanted to go in but it was too late and we needed to sleep) I'll post pics once I get them off my laptop. Oh and it had TONS of pillows. I use lots at home DH couldn't understand the need for so many and put most of them on the floor.

Still a bundle of nerves so it took until 2AM to fall asleep and we had to be up at 8. One thing I was really happy about was that I could adjust the thermostat to 15 degrees celsius (68 F) I love it cold when I sleep.

Sorry I write so much and there are no pics this time I promise some in the next post.

The whole trip was really fun.

Now Leiana forgot to add that on the flight from Minneapolis to Orlando we were all having a little bit of fun at her soon to be DH's expense. There was some airplane chair shaking from behind and some talk about the plane just dropping that made him a little scared but after wards it did seem to have lighten his mood and I think he was a little better about flying.

We were not trying to be mean just trying to lighten the mood. He never said anything about being mad at us so I hope he was ok
