First trip not staying at a Disney resort (at swan)..my 9 year old was a little confused why the TV didn't have the Disney Resort channel..in particular the boardwalk channel. He actually missed the song that has become the ear worm from prior trips...so playing this for him as he passes out haha..

When we stayed there in May I was surprised to hear it was the same music they play on the Grand Floridian splash screen. I guess they both have that turn of the century vibe so it makes sense.

Exactly right; you have to be present and show ID. Have the best time!

Through Walmart, yes. Dizzy Dolphin doesn’t require you to be present for grocery/alcohol delivery. They charge a premium for their service, though. I’ve used them for five-ish years and have never met the delivery person for alcohol. Last trip was July 2025.

Weird question - the chances are pretty slim that they would assign us a King room out of the blue if we didn't book one? We are a couple and have a resort view and we don't want a King (I don't like the look of the rooms that I saw on youtube). But I don't want to waste a request on that. Think we should be good? And if not, I suppose I can ask to switch to regular room?

You can't book a King room as it not separate category unless you book a Graden Room - Club Level access since they are all King beds.

It is possible, and we have been assigned a King room a couple of times at the BWI when they have been very busy even without requesting one when we have only be traveling as a couple. Since you can't book a King room, it is always only as a request. We actually like the King layout since it provides more space in the room.

What view is your reservation for at this point?

You can always stop at the Front desk, and request a 2QB room if you have not already noted it on your reservation in advance. Also if you get your room notification via SMS txt, you can also call the number listed in the message.

We don't arrive until after 5pm. I guess if we get a king and I really don't like it (I will be reasonable about it ) I can ask if maybe we can be moved the next day. I've never asked to be moved before though.

The King room I saw had a bathroom that was all in one - so the vanity area in with the toilet and shower, so like he couldn't be in shower while I'm doing my makeup. I like the separate toilet/shower. And to be nit-picky - the coffeemaker/fridge was just on this weird dresser stand alone thing in corner of the room. I know I'm weird.

Yes! The Village Green. I saw that there are some resort view rooms that have that view. Maybe in the past they were garden views? I'm sure everyone requests that, so I threw my hat in the ring too!

They were / are still a split category area. The once starting at the lobby area were "Courtyard" now Resort view and the last group right near the corner of the boardwalk were, and still are "Water view" room. These rooms are only on the 3rd - 5th floors.

It is a popular request but so it the regular "Courtyard" view that overlook the inner Courtyard of the Inn side. And remember there are not that many actual requests. There are a very high percentage of guests that just want a balcony if they make any "Requests".

Yes all the DVC unit have a balcony or patio as you mentioned. However @japanese maple was asking about the Inn side of resort, and there are a few regular resort rooms that don't have either.

We leave tomorrow after 13 days at the boardwalk. Surprisingly we weren't huge fans. The location is perfect but the food is absolutely terrible, the pool had so many chemicals you could almost taste it in the air and the hallway noise when sleeping is so loud.

Wow! What food was terrible if I may ask? We looooooove Trattoria Al Forno breakfast and thought the sandwiches at the deli were pretty good.

To be fair the sit down places are great. Breakfast at cake bake was really good. It's hot quick serve that is non-existent. To not be able to Mickey waffles or a burger is crazy to me. Compared to the BC area they have 5 or 6 quick serve/lounge areas that all serve great food

Yeah. I told my husband one morning we will take Skyliner to Riviera to try their quick service breakfast.

I kind of look at Yacht/Beach/Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin as all one resort for me to eat freely.

Prominade Fine Art Gallery on Disney’s BoardWalk Set to Close​

Prominade Fine Art Gallery, a beloved fixture for 30 years on Disney’s BoardWalk, is closing its long-time location – but that’s not the full story.

In a heartfelt message on social media, gallery owner Joshua Segal revealed plans to reopen very close by, though Disney has asked for a bit more patience before the official announcement. In the meantime, the gallery will operate much like they did during the Covid break, offering online specials, virtual shows, and possibly even a pop‑up location.


The last day at the BoardWalk location is October 31st, before transitioning operations November  1st until the new space is ready. Prominade will also be back at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts in January and February. And once the new location opens? Expect a huge grand‑opening party that fans can look forward to. Segal closed with sincere gratitude to his loyal patrons.

The closure adds to a growing list of vacancies on the BoardWalk Villas side—possibly hinting at larger changes to come.
Between Prominade’s move, the empty storefronts, and the shifted DVC events, I can’t help but feel like something big is coming to BoardWalk.

Will it be a new DVC addition? Something else? Time will tell, but I’ll be keeping my eyes (and ears) open.
