Lego for sale in the parks?

I'm going on a quick trip in January with just myself and the kids and we're not planning to visit Downtown Disney, just the parks. The kids will be getting some spending money at Christmas and I'm pretty sure my son will only want to spend his on Lego. Does anyone know if there are places to buy Lego in the souvenir shops in the parks or is only for sale in the big Lego store in DTD?

I don't recall seeing any Lego in the park stores.

If there are, it's probably just Marvel, Star Wars and Princess sets.

I've seen Star Wars sets at Tatooine Traders but can't recall seeing them anywhere else.

We'll be looking for this too, as we have some Lego-ers in the family. Thanks for the tip on the Star Wars sets!

Some of the park stores will have Disney related Lego like Star wars and super Hero. However they are considerable more expensive than if you purchased them at the Lego store. Even at DTD you will find some in Once Upon a Toy and World of Disney but they are more than at Lego store

I don't remember seeing a difference in price compared to buying from Lego.

But we like buying from the Lego store or lego.com anyway, because of the VIP rewards. They are generally all going to be the same price anyway, so I might as well get rewards on it.

IMO the key is knowing what sets kids will want, and knowing the going price on that set and, most importantly, if it's discontinued or about to be.

I think I'm in agreement...maybe some Star Wars stuff at the end of Star Tours, but that's about it. I don't think Marvel stuff is allowed in the parks, but would be OK at DTD.

If he's really into Legos, I would encourage you to get over to DTD if you can. If you haven't been there recently, the store was redone not too long ago.
