I guess I didn't quite understand the hopper plus idea when I bought a 6-day hopper plus for our 7 day stay. We had days left on our pass at the end b/c typhoon lagoon didn't use up a park day nor did disney quest b/c we only went to MNSSHP that night. So we had two days left on passes and DH who left a day early had three. I debated buying the "no expiration" feature on the last day, but it would have been $180 and we had already spent so much. Life can be uncertain and who knows if we really do get back - although of course I hope we do.

Anyway, when purchasing passes keep in mind you can always add days, but you can't get refunds, so you may want to add days as you go b/c who knows if someone will get sick like my ds did on the last day or if you spend all day at a "plus" location and don't hop to a park.

BTW, we also had at least 5 Table meals left on our dining plan, but at least we got the diining plan for free.

Compared with exact length passes you with 20/20 hindsight you could have purchased, you wasted one fourth day @ $14, three fifth days @ $9., and three sixth days @ $3. for a total of $50. Since the water parks fun plus pack always comes with at least two admissions (whether or not you had hindsight) and you used two, the $48. cost was absorbed by the vacation you just took leaving no wasted dollar value here.

Had you spent the $48. per six day pass for non-expiration your total investment in future vacations including the $50. value of the leftover days is $194. or $28. per day. If you went on a two day vacation in the future, new passes would cost you over $60. per person per day not including hopping.

If you did buy the non-expiration you would have had the privilege at the same time of adding seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth non-expiring hopping days for another $73. per pass or $18. per day. That would enable you to take a six day vacation in the future for an average cost of $21. per day. A new six day expiring pass with hopping costs $245. or $41. per day.

In addition you would still have the three unused water park admissions which could if you wish cover vacation a little longer than two or six days respectively.

Note: You should not use up leftover passes and also buy a shorter new pass in the same vacation of 4 to 10 days.

Wow - that math made my head spin. Made me feel better about "wasting" any money, but still thinking I shouldhave upgraded and added days before I left. Isn't hindsight wonderful.
