Leaves, leaves everywhere!

In our town, we rake the leaves into the street and then a machine comes along down the side of the road to suck them up.

Well, that only works when they come to pick them up! My BF spent the better part of last Sunday taking care of my leaves. Now, we're in the middle of a huge wind storm, and all his work is for naught! I've broken my foot and can't do it myself -- how in the world am I going to get rid of these leaves?

I see you're in NJ. That's where I lived most of my life. Can you pack up those leaves and send them to me in FL? I'd reeeeeeally appreciate it! I want to rake them into a pile and jump in!!!!!! I miss those leaves. I remember the same thing. As a kid, Dad and I would rake the leaves to the side of the street for the truck to come inhale. LOL! But there were days when it was windy, and they'd be back in the yard. Sorry for your frustration!

We a ton of leaves all over our lawn yesterday morning and also had the same wind storm. There is nary a leaf left on the entire block today. It's like having nature's own leaf blower.

I wonder if they all blew over to you?

our backyard was full of leaves yesterday before the wind storm here.....I just dreaded having to rake and bag them all......well, this morning.....all the leaves were blown neatly against our fence.....all my grass is leaf free....like a fresh green carpet!!! Now we just have to go along the fence line and pick them up....much easier

Boy, I wish a truck would pick all my leaves up. I have to pick them all up myself and put them in garbage bags. There is a huge tree in front of my house and every day the ground is covered in leaves. Sometimes I feel like chopping it down!

We used to have the sucking truck come and get our leaves, but it was decided that it was very bad for the environment, something about air pollution, so now we have to bag it. Not too bad for me now. I live in a new subdivision with small trees. However, before we moved, we lived in the old part of town with a huge Maple tree in our back yard. We bagged 50 bags of leaves the fall before we moved.

AlexandNessa: sorry you broke your foot. Maybe another storm will come and blow them all away.

WE had a ton of leaves on our lawn yesterday....but today wit hall these winds they are no longer on our lawn, now they are our neighbors problem!
