We leave next Sunday:banana: for WDW for 11 days. The first 5 nts. we're going to be at SSR in a 2 bdrm., and the next 5 nts. at OKW in a studio. We're planning on taking bedding for the pullout couch, some detergent so that we can wash clothes and some food. Other than that, is there anything else that we should take with us? TIA!!

If driving....there is a Super Wal-Mart about 4 miles from SSR. I usually hit it as soon as we get the car unpacked. The prices there are the same as our hometown (Louisiana). I usually pick up bottled water, sacks, frozen pizzas (Mickey Shaped), Stouffers pre-made family size dinner, etc... Oh, there is also LOTS of Disney items (key chains, autograph books, pens, t-shirts (good quality), beach towels, etc... for good prices:woohoo: !

If flying...not sure - we have never flown.

Good Luck packing!! :cheer2:

There is bedding for the pull outs. Unless you want your own bedding you would not need to bring that. We always stop at the grocery store when we come in. Don't forget sunscreen!!!! We had cases of water sent to our two resorts. I ordered it from Costco.

I've always heard on here to make sure to take bedding for the pullouts because it's never there.:confused3 I think I'll take some just in case.:thumbsup2

We've never had a problem with missing bedding. :confused3 We have stayed in BWV three times. If it was missing, we would just call and have them bring it up.

We bring our panchos and swim shoes (for the water parks) and some quick breakfast items (bagels, breakfast bars, small cerial boxes). This will save you a lot of $$ if you don't want a big breakfast.

At OKW there was a big plastic zip up in our villa for the sleeper sofa. It
had sheets and a blanket in it.

We do the exact same thing for breakfast...EXACTLY. LOL

We go in 2 weeks and bringing those single package add to water bottle flavorings for the kids, some ziploc bags, easy mac, and a couple other easy snacks like granola bars, as we will not have a car to drive to the store. I have read on other threads to bring Salt and pepper, extra coffee and coffee filters.
My suitcase runnith over :)

What about hats, sunglasses, bathing suits. DVD's, popcorn ?

That's funny. I thought I was being really smart. Great minds think alike. LOL

I just thought of another item that was very important...swimmer's ear.

don't forget your misting fans...the kids will totally love them and it is going to be hot.

I wouldn't bring bedding just for 5 nights at SSR. If the 2nd B/R is missing the bedding for the couch, just make a quick call to mousekeeping.

There is no couch in the Studio at OKW. It has two queen beds.

As for what to take, don't forget to take your Smile....don't be like those who forget and leave it at home. :)

I even purchased disney ponchos at that same Super Wal-Mart...for just a few dollars. We usually only bring 2 (sometimes 3) changes of clothes each with us, because each night we get in from the parks - I just throw everything in the washer and dryer. This saves room for everything we bring back home....:rotfl: I just love that Super Wal-Mart - it saved us TONS of money!!

In 15 years, I've never seen missing bedding for the pull-out and we have needed it on several trips. I agree with folks about simply calling mousekeeping. You have better use for that space than bringing extra - although I'm sure you'd be using it for napping on the drive down.

Keep in mind the refridgerators are really small in the studios, so finish almost all of your frozen items before you change hotels. There isn't near as much room to keep the extra grocery items, too. If you have a cooler that you are bringing, then that's another story. Use that for canned and bottled drinks.

Also wash as much laundry as you can on your last night in the 2BR, as you only have access to a public laundry room when you move to the studio.

We always stop at Albertsons on Orange Grove (off the Turnpike) on our way from the airport for flats of bottled water, breakfast items, and milk.

Almost forgot, if you are planning on the youngest sleeping in the Pack and Play in the room, they do have sheets with Baby Mickey themeing for it, but taking your own makes it a bit more comfortable for the little ones. We have one of those "fleecy" Supreme P&P sheets from Graco that we got at Target and it makes their bed a little bit softer and has their smell on it.

Excuse my ignorance, what is swimmer's ear?:)

I believe they are referring to the over the counter drops you get to prevent swimmers ear. You can also make your own out of equal parts alcohol and white vinegar. The goal is to remove moisture from your ears to prevent otitis externa (swimmers ear.)

I just retired from a pediatrician's office. :)

I've been stocking up on those water flavorings!:thumbsup2 We plan on making a bunch of them when we get there and putting them in the freezer. DVD's, popcorn and the others are a given in our house.

Check! We bought a couple from Target about a month ago.

Lot's of money:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Ain't that the truth!!!!!!!

We have a fold-out bed, like the chairs, that my son will sleep in.

Thanks.......I wonder if that is what my DS had last year. He spent a lot of time in the pool and then started to complain about pains in his ear. The fireworks were unbearable for him due to the loud noise. After that we bought some drops from Walgreens that seemed to help.
If this might be swimmers ear then I will defintely add these drops to my future shopping list.:)
