Laundry @ WL...

Quick Question

Anyone know if there are laundry facilities at Wilderness Lodge? If so, where abouts are they? We'll be staying for 9 days in May and would like to be able to do a load or two of laundry around the halfway point. Thanks

Yep, just back from WL. There is a laudry room down the hall from the Roaring Forks food court. About 6 washers and 10 dryers. Costs $2.00 per load to wash and $2.00 per load to dry. Try to go at off-times at the early evenings (6p) until 11pm were busy!!!!

also, 6am in the morning they start to get busy.

DS got sick on our last trip so we had to do an emergency load... at 6 ro 7 a.m. I had to wait for a washer.

Wow I was just about to say early morning was good since it was empty at AKL at that time. I guess you never know.

The laundry facilities at the WL are poor compared to other Disney resorts we've stayed at. The room is small with not a lot of machines (4-6 washers, 8-10 dryers) for that whole resort. It's located across from Roaring Forks and almost seems like an afterthought.

Yes, the laundry room is small. I guess because the resort itself is fairly small, Disney standards.

If you can do a load Sun, Mon, or Tues, it won't be quite as busy. People tend to stay for a week and try & do a load midpoint or later. I woke early one day and did mine at 5am. I was pretty much by myself until around 6am, when it did fill up.

The dryers are standard hotel dryers that don't work very well. (I've NEVER found a hotel dryer that worked well.) So try to keep you dryer load light.

i used the laundry facilities at WL this july. the laundry room was fairly small and what i found a bit dissapointing was not only the small size for a resort that large was there wasnt really any place to sit, only a few chairs, and the dryers really werent that efficent. i was glad that i got there when i did because soon after many more people showed up.

thankfully the other guests who were in there at the same time i was had a great attitude and made doing laundry less of a chore.

being next to roaring forks enabled me to go and enjoy breakfast while waiting for laundry to finish

so get there really really early.
