latest promotion for AKV purchase?

Im looking into AKV- I heard its better to wait till year end as they have some of the better promotions/discounts -
I know they were giving double developer points or a sidcounted price a few months ago--any updates?

These are the incentives we were offered last week when we bought AKV at Disneyland.

This is of course for new purchases not add ons.

160 points- 8 dollars off a point OR 160 developer points

200 points- 8 dollars off a point OR 160 developer points AND 2 annual passes to DL or WDW

225 points- 8 dollars off a point AND 160 developer points AND 2 annual passes to DL or WDW with a referral.


In addition if you buy your contract at Disneyland you will have founding members rights for the GCV.

I was at Disney's Doorway to Dreams Store at Woodfield Mall in IL tonight. They said there is an additional incentive for Disney VISA cardholders that if you buy 160 pts or more you also get $500 in Disney Dollars free.

Just got a promo piece in the mail for add-ons. You get up to 270 complimentary points. 270 for every 200 add on. 160 for 160 add on. and 100 for 110 add on.

Tempting but I'll wait for Hawaii.

My parents are headed down to WDW this week to go see their guide to ask about DVC. I can't wait to hear about what he says about all of the promos, and all of the new DVC's popping up!!!

I thought for the Visa promotion, you needed to be a card member as of 9/1? I'm bummed I missed out on that one, but am just now considering getting that card.

What are these - we are new to the process and have to become DVC members and are gathering as much info as possible - also we have the Disney Visa (since 04) I was fascinated to read about that perk - anymore details???

The developer points are basically "bonus" DVC points and you just have to use them in this next year! Great deal!

No. What it means is if your original contract was purchased at DL you have first dibs on the GCV villas when they become available. Founding members or first owners rights.
