Late spring 2025 incentives (April 29-July 14)

I may be wrong, but I can't recall them mentioning Island Tower in the MS POS until it became official. I want to say that was an amendment to the PVB indicating the addition of 11,322 timeshare weeks on 5/29/24
https://www.myfloridalicense.com/AdditionalInfo.asp?SID=&licid=5886708

That's why I think this may be a clue that LSL is it's own association. (It's possible I'm wrong or misremembering things). There were hundreds of pages debating if Island Tower was a new association or if it was part of PVB. Even after Disney verbally announced (but not in writing) it was part of the existing association (December 2023?) there was great debate until that amendment.

Thank you for kind words. To be honest, there are a few who find these documents. It's often luck of the draw who finds them first. With Island Tower, I was so heavily interested in the project I was constantly checking several times every day.

I was just doing a little more digging to see if I could find the updated multi-site offering statement. The amendment says that the revisions have been approved by the Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes, which is part of Florida's Department of Business & Professional Regulation. I did a little searching on the websites for those agencies to see if I could find anything, but could not. I have a feeling, however, that if someone called them and spoke to the right person, they could probably get their hands on it, as it is almost certainly considered public information. I can't say I am personally so inclined to do so, but if anyone is interested, have at it :-). There is a "contact us" page here: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/condos-timeshares-mobile-homes/contact-information/

Yes but if the D23 is still offered it’s well worth it to become D23 for $50 and then save $500.
A forewarning to anyone not a member but thinking of this. We purchased D23 but our guide would not accept the screenshot of membership. She said they require a picture of the actual D23 membership card. This can take 8-12 weeks.

Wow. That is pretty shocking. I would walk if they wouldn’t give it to me. But I’m petty like that.

Waiting until the final date. If it hasn’t arrived, I am going to push it. Showing the membership screenshot should be enough. It includes the membership number, etc.
When you say "membership screenshot," you mean your guide won't accept the digital membership card in the D23 app!?

I wasn’t aware of a D23 app.

I had logged into the d23 website and used a screenshot of the web page showing the details.

Just downloaded the D23 app. Logged in. Unfortunately that shows…
“Your digital card is loading… Please check back soon!”

Honestly surprised how slow D23 operates.

Note…in the app I can click on the Mickey icon to show my info. Clearly shows D23 gold member. That’s the screenshot data I sent my guide and she said it had to be of the membership card.
Just the membership card doesn’t work on the app yet???

Alright, well your story has incentivized me to go ahead and purchase my D23 Gold membership since I am likely purchasing more direct points in the near future. Same thing as you - can get into the app, but says "Your digital card is loading."

Also have to say it is ridiculous they charge you $9.99 for shipping but then can't get you stuff for 8-12 weeks.

UGH I am sorry. I should have checked mine before suggesting this. I have the same "Your digital card is loading..." error and I have been D23 Gold for years. It seems like the digital card is having some issues (even reported on Reddit).

When you pull it up digitally it displays an image that's identical to the back of the physical card (gray, shows your name, expiration, etc) which is why I suggested it.

I would honestly check the app daily to see if it's fixed before your physical one comes.

Thank you. I will do that.

Did Disney already announce if LSL will be the next association number? Or whether it's part of CFW?
Asking because I noticed this and it makes me think CFW and LSL will be different associations.

There is absolutely no reason to believe they'll be the same association other than baseless speculation about Disney wanting to do something to juice CFW sales.

"Disney Lakeshore Lodge" is very clearly distinct branding that has nothing to do with Fort Wilderness other than they happen to be physically located kind of close to one another.

Here is a link to what appears to be that document : https://cdn1.parksmedia.wdprapps.di...teral-docs/MS-POS-Insert_12_2024-01-03-25.pdf
And here is a link to the DVC multi-site offering statement, but it appears to be dated 5/16/2024:
https://static1.squarespace.com/sta...ering_Statement_Rev_05_16_2024_10-01-2024.pdf

What I can’t find is a version that incorporates those 12/24 revisions and includes the Exhibit 0 that apparently includes the new disclosure about LSL.

The amendment is posted in our DVC accounts…under Colletral Dociments where you find your contract.

The HRR also now have been updated with the new transfer rules.

Thanks for that - very helpful to know where to find those docs more easily now! Of course, just pulled them up - the multi-site offering statement is still the one dated 5/16, so whatever additional disclosure they put in Exhibit 0 does not appear there either. Will be interesting to see what they put there (even though I personally don't have much interest in LSL at the moment).

And, the one thing that DVC could decide to do is sell LSL via trust model and not put it in the same RTU plan as CFW.

So, they could both be under the same trust association but still be independent of each other.

There are a lot of potential benefits to DVC to sell that way over the traditional leasehold condo, especially to help deal with the 2042 down the line.

When you mention benefits I'm assuming you mean benefits for DVC/DVD not for us as DVC Members?

Disney has notoriously slowww shipping. I ordered a Magic Band 3 days ago and they said to expect it on the 4th of july 🤣🤣 i guess its better than 8 to 12 weeks but geez!
