I've gone the last week in October twice now (and again this year!) and we think its a GREAT time crowd-wise and weather-wise.

I see you are from MA too? Did you buy your airfare yet? I'm going down the same day, Oct 21, and haven't bought airfare yet because its SO SO high!

I think you'll love October.

My last trip was Oct. 17-23, 2004. Really wasn't very crowded at all. Maybe a 15-minute wait at most for some rides. We did have to FP Splash Mt. and RnR a few times, but really not bad.

We bought our airfare in early June. There was a SW sale. We got $59/ea way out of Hartford. We much prefer Manchester (distance wise) but for that price I will fly out of Hartford, TF Greene or Manchester. Good luck with your purchase. I bet there will be another sale or good ding. I am visiting my Dad in Ft Myers in Sept. and got a $44/one ding last week out of Providence!

I'm also getting there on october 21st!!!! we went 2 years ago and no crowds! most rides if you used ee were WALK ON, without a special event. beware though that on weekends mk is still very crowded. it was body to body, and we had a 6 month old with us, and so that part was very stressful with the weekend crowds.

i don't want to sound negative so i'll finish with something positive, i think you'll love the weather (it only rained 1 out of the 7 days we were there) but i don't want to jynx it! Just kidding! Crowds will be very small! Epcot was pretty much empty! same with animal kingdom except in the afternoon. mk was decent on weekdays. and mgm was perfect.

I think MK is always very busy on Saturdays. We usually try to avoid it when we can. Have a great trip!

We went October 23-30 2005. It was wonderful!! (however they did shut the parks down for half a day for hurricane wilma).

We literally walked on to Space Mountain. The longest we waited was 20 minutes for Soarin.

AWESOME! :thumbsup2

We went Oct 19-24 last year- very low crowds (similar to early December)and great weather with the exception of Wilma blowing through- that was about a half day of bad weather the whole trip.

We were there last October & loved it. The weather was nice and the crowds were relatively small. We would go back this year except that it is the time we are expecting our first baby so we are waiting to go in early March 2007. Have a great trip.

Glad to hear the crowds are low in October. We are planning for next October(2007) and I was wondering also. We would be going October 23-28th. 20 minutes was the longest wait? WOW!! We had to FP about everything when we went in June, Soarin we never did get on because it was a 2 hour wait and FP's were gone for the day. I think I made a good decision to change the time of year to go!! Thanks for posting!!

We were there last year around that time and it was wonderful. It only rained, well rain isn't the word, downpoored 1 afternoon/evening. Other than that the weather was absolutely gorgeous - probably about 80+ degrees! Crowd wise it was also magnificient. I think the longest we ever stood in line was like 5 minutes - we only used the FP 2x because of the lines. I highly recommend going at this time of year.

I'd like to pont out that for the most part crowds are low but EPCOT does get busy in the sfternoon/evening since the Food and Wine Festival is going on. We've only ever went in Oct and think the crowds are fine but we don't ahve anything to compare it so..I'd say lines were more like 25-40 minutes last year with some rides less.

Just wanted to add that we went on the weekend so that could be a reason for the times for us

I don't know why all these people are LYING to you but you DO NOT want to go in late October! The crowds are horrible and it does nothing but rain all day long. Trust me, AVOID this period at all costs!!

... you think that threw them off the trail or is our secret still out?? shhhhh!!...

We are also going to be at WDW October 21-27! We went a week earlier last year, leaving the Friday before Wilma went through on Sunday/Monday. We love the weather in October!

We usually go during late October and LOVE it!! The crowds are very manageable and the lines are relatively short ( 20 min. max is what we usually experience). If you plan on going to the food & wine festival at EPCOT try and avoid the weekends....they are packed with guests and locals!! Have a great time :)

Hey, we're arriving on October 21 too! :wave2:

We love, love, love WDW in late October!

Absolutely...it's horrible, the lines are awful. The restaurants run out of food it's so crowded. You have to wait an hour at least for the buses, and then you have to stand all the time!!! The weather can really turn on ya too....it could be freezing at night..you just can never tell. And the lines at the attractions...there are fast passes for the fast pass machines!!!!
No, I would never go during the late Oct time frame either..never, never. Did it once, it was awful!!!!!! :rolleyes1

See you all there!!!!!
