Late fall 2014 room only discount out

Any chance they will release an AP discount that's better than this public offer?

So I was on hold for an hour this morning to take advantage of the 15% off our stay at ASMu in December. The way I calculated it, our 5 night stay should have discounted around $70. Well, in the end I saved a whopping $20. The only thing I can figure is that ticket prices are higher than when I first booked. Since Disney never sends an itemized break down of what I'm paying I really don't know but I'm a little disappointed. Oh well - I guess $20 is better than nothing.

I too am hoping for an AP for Nov.30-Dec.-7..
:confused3:worship:

We are AP's & Florida Residents, but I'm not taking a chance on waiting. I almost missed this, but this morning I was able to snag a room at BWI for the first week (Monday thru Thursday) in December. If a better discount comes along, I will try to have it applied, but if not, I am still happy. At least we are going, I was beginning to wonder if it was going to happen at all.

Just thought I'd mention that if you book through Orbitz you can get an extra 15% off of Disney's discounted rates. The code is email15. (I also went through ebates which will give me an extra 1.3% back...not much but it all adds up)

Also if you participate in the orbucks thing, there is a promo that gives you a bonus 60 orbucks.

I had to change my dates for my Pop century stay due to husbands business trip, and was waiting for the fall room discounts to come out. So this morning I booked my 3 nights and paid $271 for it (standard room Oct 5-8). The bonus $60 orbucks didn't show up yet, but claims it will in the next 5 days.

Edited to add that I just went into MDE and linked the Orbitz res to MDE (the Disney conf was in the email they sent to me), and I also already entered everything into Magic express for my res.

Thanks! Did you have to do anything special to get the $60 Orbucks?

No. I read all the terms and it looks like it will just be added into my account in the next 5 days. If not, I'll be calling ;)

Still waiting for Annual Pass rates to cover my trip 9/28-10/5 all this because I want the dining plan without adding unneeded tickets. Ridiculous

Does anybody know if I could book a split stay using Orbitz and use the Orbucks I get to go toward the second part of the trip? I know I would have to wait for them to be applied to my account, but it would be worth it save another $60 (+what I get for the reservation, so another $20 or so) to me. Thanks!

Last week I had booked a hotel in las vegas for December and was given $17 orbucks. I thought I would use them on my Pop reservation today and it wouldn't let me. I did some reading about using the orbucks and apparently you have to complete the stay before you can use the orbucks:confused3 So I'm guessing this might be the case with the $60.

Ah, I guess that makes sense, or people would be booking expensive hotel stays just to get the free Orbucks and then canceling them.

Bummer - there are no standard value rooms available for my dates, and the discounted (preferred) rooms are only about $2/day less than the price I was looking at for standard rooms before the discount came out. I guess I won't complain about paying $2 less for a closer room though, better than nothing.

I actually called twice, The first time I was on hold for 59 minutes and I was able to get a slight discount of $65 and an upgrade to a preferred room in order to get it. But when I sniffed around online I saw a King Room (non preferred) for a $168 dollar savings, so I called back and was on hold for 28 minutes but was able to get the king room instead for less. I don't have a RO I have a magic your way package and the discount was still available.! :cool1:

I noticed when I was checking price this am around 8:30 a est thst pofq had nothing in standard rooms (not shocked) and for some reason I was checking this afternoon and saw standard rooms aval. at pofq so if they didn't have what you wanted this am maybe check again as people maybe upgrading/switching with new discounts.

Even with the REVIEW 15 on Orbitz, the price is 1.00 or so more than what I can get online at WDW's website....is this right??

No. It should be about 15% less. Did you try the other one email15? It will say across the top of the screen if your promo code has been applied. Also make sure you are comparing the same room category when comparing prices to the Disney site.

Edited: I just tried review15 and it works. Not sure what the issue is for you.
