We won't be able to check in at FW until late at night. Is there a certain time it is too late to check in?

If you arrive after the late evening (for example after 10 pm) please be considerate of your neighbors and try to set up as quietly as possible.

Just a friendly request. ;)

Our timing always puts us in arriving around or after 10pm... we just book a value resort night for that night and checkin to FW the next morning. It's more relaxing... not trying to set up anything in the dark... or disturb anyone. We usually stay at Pop Century and they are always accommodating our vehicle and trailer in their parking lot.

I guess my question is "why would you want to?" One thing, as a pp said, it really disturbs other campers, and the other you would be paying premium $$'s just to sleep a few hours, and be exhausted in the AM.
When we have anticipated that situation we drive to within about 2 hours of Disney, spend the night a little earlier and MUCH cheaper at a cc near hwy. then get up, be refreshed, and get to the Ft. late morning to check in.
That way you have half a day to do whatever you want, and not be worn out.
I would start my ressies a day later and avoid the scenario that you mentioned.
Maybe it's just us, but we feel like it's just wasting that first night and not getting anything in return for the high $$ you pay for the site.

Don't worry if you have to check in late. We have had to do it before and we are not usually the only ones checking in. We just pull in the site, plug up the electrical and go to bed. Everything else can wait until morning. If your set-up is more involved, checking in at a value is always good option.

The reason we try to avoid the late nights is my feeling, whether valid or not, that we sort of get "whatever is left" site wise.

I've checked in after midnight. They shut down the computers around 10 or 11pm and have everything printed out and rooms keys (if you're in a cabin) ready to go.

The downside is that you can't change anything, such as room location, because, well, the computers are down :)
