Interested few for an Illumination Dessert Gathering:

Looking forward in meeting my fellow Dis'ers with a big bang!!! Anybody who's interested pls PM scoutsmom99 or myself (also you can email me at jj4mercy@yahoo.com) Come one come all... Hopefully we will have a good turn out.

The event is on Sept 28,2005 at 8:30PM located at the Upper Terrace in UK.

The Menu is Old World Classic in Miniature which is $23.00 plus 20% Service Charge, 6% Sales Tax and event guide fee ($32.99 each). It includes miniature Almond canoes, Cannolis, Eclairs,Gourmet Brownies and cakes,Tiramisu,Choclate Pecan Diamonds, Italian Amaretto Cream Cake and fruit tarts and Coffee,Hot Tea and Lemonade for bev. Some of the common question is if the price is the same for child and adult the answer is YES. They explained that children and adult eat dessert almost alike :p sorry I did not just made this up! If we need to change menu we can do so. Have a sparkling day!

Total of 25 confirmed as of August 23,2005

We'll be there 9/25-10/1 (Poly) but I'm also not clear on what an Illuminations Dessert gathering is - can you let me know?

Also, I'm trying to decide if Illuminations would be too intense for my very sensitive DD4? She ate at a Japanese steakhouse when she was 2 and has been very afraid of fire ever since. Maybe we should watch from the entrance just outside the WS?

Dessert gathering needs 20 or more people. I have not done this eather but I have seen a couple of threads here prior to our April trip. And also at the parks when CM are preparing for it at EPCOT do they get prime location to watch the Illuminations. Just hoping for an extra magic here :cloud9:

We will be there Sept 22-Oct 2. I have done oneof these back in2003. The food was delisious(SP?). I have 2 aults & 2 kids in my party. We would love to participate.

DH and I just might be interested, even though that's the day we arrive. I'd like to hear some more details, like cost, menu, location etc. It would be a nice way to kick off our vaca!

We'd love to come. Can you just tell me more details?? I have no idea what it is, but I'm game anyway!!! LOL Count us in for 2 adults 1 child. My little guy shouldn't count I would think, cause he's only 2.

I would like to do it but I only have a 4 day pass w/no hopping and are going to Epcot Sat 9/24 and Mon 9/26 if you have it on either one of these dates the three of us will prob. go. Let me know!

I also need some more details. Sounds like it could be kind of fun, but just need some more details... We would 3 for sure. We are meeting with friends down there, so it could be a few more if they wanted to come as well once I have more information to share with them!

A Illumination Dessert Party what is it you ask. I have been to one and planned on in 2003.
Its a party? It does not need to be 20 people BUT it lowers the cost pp. There are many different plans (ie, different viewing locations, Different foods, desserts and Drinks) You plan one of these by contacting Disney directly and working with a party planner. They way we did it was contacted the party planner and sent a email to Participants. Prices range from $15pp-$50pp. This all dependson what we want and the amount of people. The more pp the lower the price. We didn't charge kids under 3 but over we did. The way we paid was we all mailed a check or called in a CC to the Party Planner. All Payment is do ASAP after selecting party. We need people who say definetly not maybe. You have to know before hand. Almost like CRT and there is no cancelation. Its really fun, good desserts and GREAT view. Any other questions feel free to email me.
ANTSS2001 I can help plan if you like since I have done this before. Just PM me and we can work on it together.
