I'm definitely interested! Myself + 3 other adults, we're at Beach Club Villas the 24th thru 1st.

can i ask what exactly is a illuminations dessert gathering?

Around March when I was actively searching DIS I saw a thread from WebmasterPenny and they were doing a Dessert Gathering while Illumination is going on. After a number of searches I found a site in WDW about it. They need atleast a minimum of 20 guest and they will make a party for us set for desserts for a fee of course and as off 2002-2004 the cheapest one they have is $22.50 plus 20%service charge plus 6% Sales Tax. Party usually starts at 7:30PM so CM have the time to set up and be able to refill which also give us time to settle and be able to enjoy the Illuminations of earth w/o interuption. As of now they gave a tentative spot located infront of Italy or France. Targeting dates on Sept 27th or 28th. I will hear the final dates either today or tomorrow. But if theres no 20 guest this will not materialize.

I would be interested in doing this with my daughter, but I'm leaving on 9/28 (I see I'm listed as leaving the 29th, but I'm actually leaving on the 28th) Oh well...Have fun everyone!

We will miss the 28, but are coming on Friday 9/30 for MNSSHP and will leave Sunday. I would love to meet up with others either Friday at the MNSSHP or on Saturday at a park!!!

I just signed up to participate & I was wondering if anyone else who is participating has children?? I just don't want my kids to feel out of place if only adults are there .

But I'm sure the desserts will distract them if there isn't any other kids!!

I'm childless (well I do have my baby boy scout if that counts!) at 24 and going solo to the dessert party/meet (mom and sister aren't meeting me till later into the trip) and I love kids...I used to be a nanny! I think a few other people have kid's coming with them so yours don't feel out of place

Thanks for the reassurance! I think they will enjoy the whole experience even if they end up being the only kids, but hopefully there will be a couple other kids around !

If you're kids are like my DNephew and Dniece ... Then we are in trouble last time I was out with them... Chistorpher said to Corinne "We have to watch where auntie is going she gets lost alot of times
