Last Trip? It was until we met Food & Wine -- Recap 2/12

Yay for another rope drop! And yay for how seriously you take Buzz! Zurg was truly frightened! :lmao: And of course the requisite feet pix on the TTA. :goodvibes

Your Main St. photos are really awesome! :thumbsup2 Makes me rather homesick... ;) Chocolate crioissant? Yes please! :cloud9:

Ah the chills of seeing the castle first thing in the AM the sky is blue you just get that Life is great feeling!!!

the BEST picture ever
Castle- Monorail- train station! I NEED THIS PICTURE!!!!
The coffee must have gotten into your blood stream i see smilie faces on the People Mover! :cool1:

hate reading last days... But your's is awesome.

Great choice for a last day park.

The Welcome show always makes me a little teary eyed. I was very glad to see Pluto in your pictures because he was not there when I saw the show in December. Made me sad to not see him. :(

Of course your first destination was Starbucks. :rotfl: I have yet to go in that one on Main Street but I did check out the Epcot one in December.

Awesome score on Buzz, you weren't too far off the max score.

Nothing like a relaxing ride around Tomorrowland on the TTA.

You know Kathy, the bus from the resorts is certainly faster generally when it comes to Magic Kingdom since you bypass the TTC, but that's also its downside too. YOU BYPASS THE TTC!!! There's something special about the walk in and the Ferry/Monorail entrance just feels so completely normal to me. I kinda feel bad for those who've never gone to MK this way.

Seeing the Ferry photo is just so appropriate today. Just last night I was watching a DVD of some old footage on the building of Disneyland and who was there at the groundbreaking but of course, Walt and Roy, and also Richard F Irvine.

Do you remember if the monorail was down? The ferry seems really crowded.

Wow, what great timing arriving as the Welcome Show was happening.

Haha, just like me. Coffee first... everything else second.

Happy Belated Birthday to Mr. Mark!

So sad your on your last day update! Love the look of MK so early in the morning. I've only done the opening show once, but I had tears in my eyes.

Buzz is an awesome ride, and so it people mover. I have to say those are most likely the two rides I have ridden the most at WDW.

Also I love the t-shirts. I saw them on Etsy and tried to get Sken to get them and he said no . You two rock them though! So cute!

Excited to hear more about Mk day!

Aw, I love the opening show at MK! For some reason we keep missing it, though and it's been a few years since we've made it on time!

I love Starbucks, too. I'm a proud gold member!

You and Mark look so content on the Peoplemover!

Dear Lord, where the heck have I been? Holy updates!

All that food and F&W. I want some now. I forgot to eat lunch today because work was so busy and now I'm starving! The pierogis and kielbasa look so good.
Everything looks good.

Okay, what Disney imagineer thought that clown pool would be a good idea? Who came up with that? Everything about Boardwalk is gorgeous and amazing except that.

I love Mark's shirt on your MK day! I think Jason needs one.

Love your MK pics! Glad you got your coffee, and nice score on Buzz!

Last park day ... sad.

You got some great pictures of the welcome show.

I love the look on your face in the Goofy picture ... it's like "I haven't had my coffee yet, what do you want from me?" (I know that face well from looking in the mirror)

And a few pictures later ... COFFEE! Yay!

Excellent score on Buzz Lightyear! We actually always do Buzz Lightyear first ... it's a tradition for us (I don't remember how it started, but since we love it so much, we've kept it as a tradition). I think it's a fun way to start the morning.
Although in the picture you do look like the coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

Sounds like a good start to the last park day!

MK is always the best last day park, but no matter where you go in WDW that last day is always bitter sweet. I cry almost every time.

I think the photos of you two and Goofy should be framed side-by-side; Mark has his usually grin on and you have not woken up yet! I know how you feel; I'm not human until I've had my am warm up.

Wow, you really beat Mark in Buzz! Awake or not, you got a good score!

Love the People Mover! Such a relaxing ride through TomorrowLand.

I'm back on the DIS after my post-Disney depression cleared. I never got a chance to go to the new Main Street Bakery, it was always packed. The BTGs love their Starbucks!

Glad this didn't end up being your last time :yay:

Score on getting there in time to watch the opening show.

Boo to saying good bye to the Boardwalk. That's always hard.

Great score on Buzz! Gotta love that!

And starting the day on the People Mover is ALWAYS a good thing!

Nice shots of the opening show! What a bittersweet feeling to walk into the MK for what you think is the last time for a long time to come.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi! :wave2:
I'm catching up with the links! Now I really want to go back for F&W. Maybe I can convince DH now that we have APs!!!

Hi Sheree; I've missed you. I hope you can convince DH to go for F&W.

Sad to see your last MK day! how did Mark get such a high score on Buzz? I stink at that one!!

I actually corrected that...it was my score. Trust me...I have no idea. :rotfl2:

first, here is a youtube link to a ride through of Mystic Manor. It used a trackless ride system and then these other effects that make it look that like pixie dust is flying through the room bringing objects to life - it's pretty cool!
http://youtu.be/1vku_yWmmtQ

Wow....that is cool. They should seriously do something like that with Figment.

Always bittersweet when you enter the Magic Kingdom for the last time of a trip

It truly is.

I'd say you guys got pretty good scores on Buzz for not being away!

I had some of my better scores that trip.

Mark just looks so happy and content riding on the Peoplemover with you :goodvibes

Awww...thanks.

Hi Kathy - this was the day that we tried to run into you at the MK. I remember that it was a very sunny morning. In fact, it may have been one of the reasons we kept missing you. We ended up ducking into air conditioned places to cool off.

I remember that; but I was just happy it wasn't raining again. I don't blame you though for ducking into the air conditioning.

Yay for another rope drop! And yay for how seriously you take Buzz! Zurg was truly frightened! :lmao: And of course the requisite feet pix on the TTA. :goodvibes

We are usually pretty good about making our rope drops. My husband ALWAYS wins...until this trip...and I have become very competitive with him. You should see him when he is with Andy. :lmao:

Your Main St. photos are really awesome! :thumbsup2 Makes me rather homesick... ;) Chocolate crioissant? Yes please! :cloud9:

Mark really enjoys his chocolate croissants.

Ah the chills of seeing the castle first thing in the AM the sky is blue you just get that Life is great feeling!!!

Life is great when at DW.

the BEST picture ever
Castle- Monorail- train station! I NEED THIS PICTURE!!!!

Thanks; I was quite pleased with that one myself.

The coffee must have gotten into your blood stream i see smilie faces on the People Mover! :cool1:

It finally had kicked in, plus I love the People Mover.

hate reading last days... But your's is awesome.

Thanks, Mo.

Great choice for a last day park.

MK is always our last park.

The Welcome show always makes me a little teary eyed. I was very glad to see Pluto in your pictures because he was not there when I saw the show in December. Made me sad to not see him. :(

No Pluto; I wonder if he was not feeling well that day.

Of course your first destination was Starbucks. :rotfl: I have yet to go in that one on Main Street but I did check out the Epcot one in December.

I've hit them all...MK, Epcot, both at DTD and can't wait to hit them at the Studios and AK.

Awesome score on Buzz, you weren't too far off the max score.

I was proud of that score.

Nothing like a relaxing ride around Tomorrowland on the TTA.

Absolutely nothing like it; I wish I was doing it right now.

I agree completely with you. We will take the bus on occasion to the MK, but I would miss that TTC and the Ferry (I'm not a monorail person).

Seeing the Ferry photo is just so appropriate today. Just last night I was watching a DVD of some old footage on the building of Disneyland and who was there at the groundbreaking but of course, Walt and Roy, and also Richard F Irvine.

Wow...what a coincidence. :)

Do you remember if the monorail was down? The ferry seems really crowded.

Yes, it was one of those mornings that the monorail was NOT running yet (and why I don't like the monorail).

Wow, what great timing arriving as the Welcome Show was happening.

It worked out almost perfect!

Haha, just like me. Coffee first... everything else second.

I do not do ANYTHING without my coffee. Ask my kids...they've learned not even to say good morning to me until I've had my first cup. :rotfl:

Happy Belated Birthday to Mr. Mark!

Thanks, Casey.

So sad your on your last day update! Love the look of MK so early in the morning. I've only done the opening show once, but I had tears in my eyes.

I get teary-eyed too. It's just all so magical.

Buzz is an awesome ride, and so it people mover. I have to say those are most likely the two rides I have ridden the most at WDW.

I know we do the People Mover numerous times a trip if we can.

Also I love the t-shirts. I saw them on Etsy and tried to get Sken to get them and he said no . You two rock them though! So cute!

Thanks; after I bought Mark's I decided I should have one and we could wear them on our last day...as we did.

Excited to hear more about Mk day!

More fun coming up.

Nice job making Rope Drop!

Thank you Captain.

Good thinking! Pro move there.

I'm no dummy...plus I didn't want to get trampled in the Anna & Elsa rush.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

This woman is serious about her coffee!

WOW!!! That's good shooting! Is that a personal record?

No, not a personal record. I hit the 999,999 once because we got stuck and I must have hit that one target.

And by this point, the wait for Anna & Elsa was already at 90 minutes. :lmao:

I'm sure you are right.

What? There's nothing edible in that picture. :rolleyes1

My croissant was very good I'll have you know.

Did you actually drink the coffee you ordered? :confused3

Yes; but I still wasn't awake and I was sad because it was our last day.

Aw, I love the opening show at MK! For some reason we keep missing it, though and it's been a few years since we've made it on time!

It's probably hard with the little guy.

I love Starbucks, too. I'm a proud gold member!

Me too...since they started the program.

You and Mark look so content on the Peoplemover!

We were; it's just so relaxing and I love watching people.

Dear Lord, where the heck have I been? Holy updates!

I don't know, where have you been? :rotfl2:

All that food and F&W. I want some now. I forgot to eat lunch today because work was so busy and now I'm starving! The pierogis and kielbasa look so good.
Everything looks good.

We really enjoyed it and are so excited to be going back.

Okay, what Disney imagineer thought that clown pool would be a good idea? Who came up with that? Everything about Boardwalk is gorgeous and amazing except that.

I don't know; but I hope they demoted him.

I love Mark's shirt on your MK day! I think Jason needs one.

I got it off Etsy (I have a matching one...well mine says prince).

Love your MK pics! Glad you got your coffee, and nice score on Buzz!

Thanks, Clare.

Last park day ... sad.

It is, isn't it?

You got some great pictures of the welcome show.

Thanks, Sarah.

I love the look on your face in the Goofy picture ... it's like "I haven't had my coffee yet, what do you want from me?" (I know that face well from looking in the mirror)

That is my daily morning face until that Java is in my system.

And a few pictures later ... COFFEE! Yay!

Yep...see how easy it is.

Excellent score on Buzz Lightyear! We actually always do Buzz Lightyear first ... it's a tradition for us (I don't remember how it started, but since we love it so much, we've kept it as a tradition). I think it's a fun way to start the morning.

If we don't head left, we then hit Buzz first. It's a good tradition for you to have.

Although in the picture you do look like the coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

I probably could have used a second one, but I was being bored for Mark since he was whiny because he was losing.

Sounds like a good start to the last park day!

It really was.

MK is always the best last day park, but no matter where you go in WDW that last day is always bitter sweet. I cry almost every time.

I cry every time we leave...even now when we know we are going to see Nicki afterwards.

I think the photos of you two and Goofy should be framed side-by-side; Mark has his usually grin on and you have not woken up yet! I know how you feel; I'm not human until I've had my am warm up.

What a splendid idea!

Wow, you really beat Mark in Buzz! Awake or not, you got a good score!

I was very lucky on Buzz this trip.

Love the People Mover! Such a relaxing ride through TomorrowLand.

It is; and fun to watch all of the people.

I'm back on the DIS after my post-Disney depression cleared. I never got a chance to go to the new Main Street Bakery, it was always packed. The BTGs love their Starbucks!

I'm sorry you were suffering from that awful post-Disney depression; but I'm glad you are back. It was pretty crowded every time we went, but I have to have that coffee.

Glad this didn't end up being your last time :yay:

I am too. :goodvibes

Score on getting there in time to watch the opening show.

We really lucked out there.

Boo to saying good bye to the Boardwalk. That's always hard.

Yes it is; I've come to love that resort.

Great score on Buzz! Gotta love that!

Thanks!

And starting the day on the People Mover is ALWAYS a good thing!

It sure it.

Nice shots of the opening show! What a bittersweet feeling to walk into the MK for what you think is the last time for a long time to come.

Thanks; I do love that show and we saw a few new characters this time. I truly did not think we'd be back this year.

I love the shirt your husband is wearing!!! I really need to buy that whenever I get married, hahaha. :rotfl:

You'll have to get one for your husband when you have one and one for yourself.

I'm embarrassed but I never knew they had an opening show at the Magic Kingdom! Love the picture on buzz lightyear!! How sad you were packed up Ready to go home but at least you have May and October to look forward to with your friends! Hopefully I can get over to Orlando to see y'all at least if it's just for a day!

You never knew they had an opening show? I hope you get to it with Alexander some time in the future.

Yes, we were packed, but we were going to see Nicki and Todd after we left MK, so it wasn't too bad.

I hope we can meet in October too. We will have to keep in touch regarding dates.
