:) How are you doing?

OK, we've been listing stuff on eBay again this weekend...since the loan didn't come through with Citibank we need to try to to raid the savings account while we find someone who will give us the money.

So far we've listed a French Horn, and Accordion, a bunch of CDs & DVDs and some sheet music. One of the music books has a bid already! Yay! In a few moments we're going over to our 2nd apartment to see what else we can list. I'm working on making Tzatziki to go with our dinner tonight. Other than that very quiet.

How about you?

Well, I hope something works out for you in terms of the loan  It's never fun not having the money that you need.

That's awesome! I hope they all sell :) I don't play music and really don't have money to be shopping right now, otherwise I'd take a look at what you have listed :)

I'm just at work again. I found out tonight that the nurse on our shift (day shift, though) asked Adriana (the cow worker) to move to days! I genuinely have no idea what the heck they're thinking, but whatever. She's not going to do it, I know that. I'm just tired of all the nonsense here.

Meh. In twelve weeks, I'll be at MK with Ruthie and Sharon :3dglasses

That's right sweetie,,,stay in that frame of mind and everything else will melt away and fall into the "not important, doesn't affect me" pile of life :goodvibes

That's pretty much what I keep telling myself. Like "In twelve weeks, we'll be waiting for the parade :cloud9:" and then I feel a little better :lmao:

I so need this vacation omg. I wish it was sooner, but the last month has already flown by (I can't believe I booked it a month ago ), so hopefully the next two and a half will as well :)

a few hours ago I took a good look at the F & W selections...my goodness what a selection! and in honor of Sharon I definitely want to find a way to get over there and try the Australia offerings :goodvibes

It ALL sounds good wonder how many hours and how much $$$$$$$$$$ it would take to try something from everywhere, can you imagine?? I think we talked about that once before..I have narrowed it down to Australia, S Africa & Italy may have to stop in your room for a nap (like after a Thanksgiving dinner :rotfl:) before driving home

:lmao: I've narrowed it down to a list of things in a few countries, and I figure if I'm hungry after that, I can grab a snack at MK EMH or something. :)

You have to try the molten chocolate cake from Ireland, I think I saw it on the list again this year.

Fran and I ate one of almost everything at last year's festival. We'd basically walk up to the kiosk, and order one of each food that most had to offer and we'd get two of the paired wines. Often there was three, but we didn't have that many hands and remember we're both on scooters! :lmao: Each kiosk would set us back about $15-20, except I remember Japan cost about $25 for 3 rolls and 2 sakes. We skipped only a few kiosks out of say 25? So multiply 20 x $17 per kiosk...and you get $340 (but that includes about $120 or so of wine). We started tasting Saturday afternoon (Canada) and barely finished (this is trying 4-6 booths every day) on Thursday Afternoon.

So we're watching NFNS right now and this one is totally making me cry....haven't hit the end yet!

Hello everyone. Hope you're all well.

Lamingtons from Australia? I hope they are done well....otherwise there will be at least one very unhappy Aussie here. I'll get some inside scoop before we get there as there are a few Aussie Dis-ers going in September and they are going to check out the Australian offerings.

The chocolate on the outside is not a thick chocolate...it's more like a chocolate syrup that is used to moisten the outside of the sponge cake so that when they dip it in, the coconut sticks to the outside.

Oh, it has coconut on it? Hm... I'm not a big fan of coconut I shall have to reconsider that one.

Honestly, the only time I like coconut is when it's combined with caramel and stuck on a shortbread cookie and covered in chocolate (aka, a Samoa Girl Scout cookie :lmao:). So I might have to reconsider that one :(

If done well, you may find that you like this coconut Lamington as well.....you can always share some of mine and taste it that way.

I just looked over the offerings and tried a lot of the things they have last year, so I'm not so jealous of you all going...we'll go in 2011. I keep telling myself that! If the Lamingtons is coated in coconut that's why I didn't try it, I did have the lamb and the barrimundi and liked the lamb a whole lot more than the barrimundi.

My parents took a tour of Australia some kind of bus tour guided thing with a bunch of people from the psychic institute. Evidently each meal at dinner they were offered steak or barrimundi. My mom said that she has had enough barrimundi for the rest of her life! :lmao:

This is funny both Dana and I were talking about not liking coconut at the same time! :lmao:

We probably have barra about once every 6 weeks. And I found it funny to be eating Barramundi in Walt's Wharf! :lmao:

Coincidence..... or not?
