And.... my kids wanted milk to drink, but they said no refills on it.

Ok, I agreed to it, until I saw on the menu where it said "bottomless milk" and I pushed to get refills on it.

I was very polite about it, but I insisted that they honor their menu.

They gave me all of these excuses
"it's a brand new menu"
"we just got it this week"
"it's a test menu" and
"oops, it's a typo"

but all I did was keep pointing to "bottomless milk" and the manager finally let us have it "just this one time"

whatever!

they'll give kids all the free sugar water they want, but only one cup of milk... makes me irritated :headache:

...'bottomless milk' was a type-o?? Oh yeah, it should have said 'UNbottomless milk' - I see how that could happen......................popcorn::

Just got home! And it was good news! There was a lot of scar tissue and endometriosis and the doctor's pretty sure that's what was causing the severe pain. They did a total hystorectomy, which she was prepared for. But the great news was that there was no sign of cancer!

They had trouble in the recovery room controlling her pain, her bladder was spasming! :confused3 She never got into a room until about 2:00. When she got into her room her husband went to stand beside her and he held her hand. She looked up at him and said, "Did you talk to the doctor." And her husband said, "Yes, he came out and talked to us right after the surgery was over." And she said, "Do I have cancer?" That's the first time that she has even said that dreadful "C" word out loud! Instead of a straight answer, without thinking, her husband said, "Didn't the doctor talk to you?" Which, naturally, got her all scared. She said, "I don't remember! Do I?" And he said, "No." So she looked at me and reached out her hand for me to hold it, like she didn't believe him but thought that I would tell her the truth! And she said again, "Do I?" So I told her that the first thing the doctor said to us was that he "saw no signs of cancer!" And she started to cry! Which in turn made me start to cry! (And I had been doing so good!)

So thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and a huge thank you :worship: to God!

Great news:cool1:

Good for you to stick to it....
I bet they do the free refills on soda cause it is cheaper than Milk for them but if the menu says it than Honor it and honestly how many kids today would have asked for milk instead.... I know One of mine would have the other would have been UNLIMITED SODA OH YEAH!!!! of course I might have had a limit on it LOL

that is SCARY!!! :scared1:

One time we brought DH's van in for a recalled item, something to do with the steering.

No big deal right??

Well the next day he was driving home (and THANKFULLY he was on our block), and the STEERING WENT OUT! He couldn't steer the car at all! If it had happened not even two minutes before he would have still been on the highway!

We had to have them come and tow it back to the dealership to fix it. And needless to say, he was very nervous to drive it for a bit!

I have to purchase airline tickets today.

One for dh to fly out to CA so he can help drive the moving truck.

Then one for FIL to fly out to CA after they're done unloading the moving truck.

I talked to my friend's nurse a few minutes ago and she said that she did very well last night!

that's great! How long will she have to stay in the hospital?

My nurse (who I work with) had to have a hyst. and had some cysts removed (thankfully non-cancerous also!) in Sept. She was in the hospital for 3 days, and she's been off for 6 weeks.

the middle schooler is off to school.. and I hear my little mice moving around upstairs....

The doctor said 3 -4 days. I think since she's already been able to get up and walk to the bathroom a few times on her own she'll probably come home tomorrow or Thursday. Wish I could be here to help her when she gets home but she understands my situation and told me I need to go have fun with Matthew! Her husband isn't one of those to do for himself (laundry, meals, etc.) so I'm afraid she may over-do when she gets home! :sad2: He's not like my DH who just jumps right in and does whatever needs to be done!
