How was Jessica's birthday??

The party is actually on Sunday I just was getting ready for it the other day
mowing the lawn cleaning the camper that kinda stuff
she is having a campout with 4 of her friends up at the lake.

She will offically be 15 on the 6th but we are doing the party thing a week early cause her best friend will be out of town next week

Then Sunday is Matthew's birthday and we are renting a pontoon boat to go out on the lake!

(Uh, no, I don't know these people!)

Last weekend we bought an intertube and a tow rope so the boys will get to tube for the first time!

I just hope the weather stays nice!!

We have a very busy weekend planned. Tomorrow is the annual Blood, Sweat and Gears bike race - which is a 100 mile bike race through the mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are thousands of bike riders that start the race!

The course goes right past our house and we are in a fairly sharp turn so I can't even drive out onto the road without someone in the family watching for oncoming bikes!

Anyway, our fire department is also on the route and is a aid station so we have to put in our time there tomorrow. And then tomorrow evening we're having our annual fire department picnic - and you know who's doing all the food for that!

our fire dept has started having a once a month event thing for the town
we had a "Free" rummage sale got donation of stuff advertised as a come take what you need sale had donation boxes out and made ove 1000 dollars... than donated the rest to a local church Last month we had bingo with nachos and next month is old timers night an old fashioned ice cream
social and old time firefighters and towns people there to share the history.
All for free the town is loving it and donations are UP so that is good

and tomorrow I have to recertify to sell tobacco and alchol {!!!!BORING!!}
we have to do it every three years and my boss is so on the ball I am only a month late so i really shouldn't be selling at work.

Our fire department picnic is just for the firefighters and their families. We have talked about a community picnic but it's till in the talking stages.

Afternoon Everyone Oh, and yes Kathy, I did work last night-I picked up extra hours since I was sent home early all of last weekend-now I'm only 3 hrs short instead of 8

-even his DSis with cancer and her Daughter-she just got more bad news about her cancer again!!! now it's in her bones cancer really does suck!!!
