what is with this "last" business?

We keep posting to take last place.....and there will be an ultimate laster.....

please explain.. thank you

.....On the DisBoard, the moderators keep an eye on the threads. Among other things, they check that the thread does not become MONSTER.....which is arbitrarily defined as page 250. I'm sure there is a technical reason why the cap is page 250, but I really aren't that interested to find out.

Anyway....once the thread hits page 250, the moderators will lock or close the thread and no one else can post to it. Everyone of us lasters tries to be free for we get to page 250 and we even try and schedule it so that most of the regular lasters are around. And then we have a battle for last place.

It can take 5 seconds....or 5 months....depending on how long it takes for a moderator to realise that we've passed the magical 250 mark. Whoever posts last before the thread is lock is the ultimate laster.

In LTP #11, Franandaj took out the title.

I just saw this and it looked fun!

*Ahem*....it's actually the lasters that are fun.....


We pretty much just hang out here and chat and occassionally take the game seriously....being LAST.....

Melbourne has 4 seasons in one day traditionally

Today, it was cloudy and a little bit overcast when I woke up.
Two hours later, we were sitting in brilliant blue sunshine and it was really glorious.
Now its cold...and a little bit foggy.

Perhaps we might get some of that Sydney rain tomorrow....



And I should explain.....don't mind Queenie and me. It's cultural.....there is a Sydney vs Melbourne thing....that transcends both of us.

The reason I'd left the company was because I was let go for attendance. Between being sick, having severe dental pain (which eventually resulted in an extraction), and no reliable transportation (Lynx sucks so bad omg), I was having trouble making it to work when I was scheduled. My managers didn't want to let me go (they loved me), but they had to, which I understood. That's how I wound up back in Chicago.

And anyway, I'm home Heading to bed in a few minutes, though.
