 Oh Lyn!! I am so sorry that you're having such a hard time finding a good spot!

FWIW.... I know someone who has 3 openings and is an experienced homeschool teacher... and I know she'd be willing to keep 'em till 6pm since you'd have a longer commute :rotfl:
OMG....I would love it if we lived that close where I could...I am having such a hard time...my kids always come first and right now I feel like I am dealing w/ the lessor of all evils...I just got a call from the preschool director at the place I visited today...they have 8 openings left, but I don't think I want her there...so this seems to be my options right now:

1. We get a spot at the good school which would be parttime and pickup at 2:30...I find a way to make it work..which may mean I take a pay cut to get done early (which I think DH and I would be willing to do, it would be a sacrafice and saving for college, paying off stuff would need to wait, but I would do it...I just don't think I could get it at my job).

2. We have a serious talk w/ the school she is at now. Overall, they have been good, it was the bulling and last Friday's incident that was really bad...but it did mostly affect only DS and he isn't going back...so we are considering that they may improve and DD would be o.k. This isn't my best option, but looking around at some other schools, the place she is at is better than what is avaliable.

3. I am still waiting for my co-worker to let me know about the place her son is at...but I am not holding my breath :guilty:

The hard part is that I have such a great job (overal it is great...it does have it's moments) and so it would very, very, very hard to quit for a temporary situation.....She only has one more year and then they will both be at the ps.

I was talking to my boss about this earlier..and he told me that this is only the begining...being a parent gets harder and harder :faint:

Like you said #2 is still an option. And maybe after you bring it to their attention things will change. :grouphug:

Wow Lyn, that's hard!! But you will do what's best for your family like you always do! :grouphug: I know your family is the most important thing to you and you always do what's right!

I know!!! I will move to Hawaii and take care of them, then neither you nor DH will have to leave your jobs :thumbsup2 :rotfl: plus I'll get a years vacation in Hawaii :goodvibes

With the school you want to the school she's at now?

sorry, way too much drama in my life  I called around ALL MORNING and there was only one place that I would send DD to and I am on the wait list for a parttime spot...I would need to work less hours to be able to pick her up and financially it would mean less $ for college and paying off my house, but we would still do it....but I don't think my work would allow it.

Also, most our problems have been with DS (boys that are bullies) and DD likes going there and after I was looking around today, I think that the school she is at is better than a lot of what it out there and avaliable....so we are going to talk to the Director today about our concerns and see what happens..if they are going to improve things, if they are remorseful, etc and if we think DD will be o.k. there, we may send her for next year and then she and DS will both be at the PS the following year.

...and Tracy offered to be my line-in nanny for a year :sunny:
