i'm so sorry Lyn
at least she's at peace now
It is weird how things like this put everything else in prespective. DH didn't want to go to archery practice and the tournament (he is VP of the club and usually goes to these) since he wanted to be with us...and my parents really took it hard. My dad was clearly upset and my mom decided to do something she was contemplating for years but wanted to wait a couple more...than last week decided life was too short...I am happy for her, she should enjoy life more and not waitWe always have parties for both sides of the family at our place...so my family is close to DH's side too.
Thanks...we really miss her...but at least it all happened as well as it could be (under the circumstances), so I am glad she found peace...
and DH's family are taking it well, when his grandfather died it was very difficult for many years...I guess everyone is more at peace that it was her time (if that makes sense- she did have many health issues...DH's grandfather was very sudden and unexpected)...I am really sad she didn't have a chance to see DSil's new baby (due in September)...she really loved all her great-grands and it is such a loss that my nephew didn't have a chance to meet her

It makes a difference when it is unexpected compared to knowing someone has health issues and/or hurting.![]()
Yes it does make you stop and re-evaluate your life. I am really glad that my Mom is traveling and involved in things that make her happy. No matter what she is doing what she wants and can. My FIL on the other hand is very depressed and can't seem to get passed that. So I think he is going to have a long road ahead of him. They would have been married 60 years tomorrow.![]()
