:sad1: I really feel for your Fil :guilty: The time I met them, you could tell they were each others world :guilty: hopefully he can see he still has so much family that loves and needs him

We really worry about him. They lived down the street from each other and basically knew each other their whole life.

Sometimes I think he is just ready to give up and than other times he sounds like he will be okay. It doesn't help he has been having trouble with his heart and not feeling well on top of that.

We try and let him know that Doris would want him to be with the family for a long as possible because Family meant everything to her. And the Grandkids love him so much. He is the only G.F. that Ash has ever known.

I know!! when we were little my brother always needed more clothes then I did, plus i had alot of older cousins that I got clothes from:thumbsup2

it's a little harder with stinky b/c she's so much younger then the cousins older then her. She's 10 and the next older cousin is 14, so she doesn't get alot of hand me downs. it's been funny buying her clothes b.c she was a size 16 then she went down to a size 10/12. We had already gotten rid of alot of her old clothes b.c they didn't fit, so now we have to buy her new clothes again:headache:

Yes it does make you stop and re-evaluate your life. I am really glad that my Mom is traveling and involved in things that make her happy. No matter what she is doing what she wants and can. My FIL on the other hand is very depressed and can't seem to get passed that. So I think he is going to have a long road ahead of him. They would have been married 60 years tomorrow. :sad1:

My mom never got over losing my dad. She did go on with her life and she did things with friends but she never really moved on. It was so sad. And they had only been married 27 years - not 60! I can't even imagine that.

I don't know if I've already told you all the story of the day my mom died. (If I'm repeating myself I apologize.) I took DD to visit Grammy (my mom) in the hospital in the afternoon. She was sleeping and I woke her up and sort of startled her. I apologized for waking her up and she said not to worry, but she was just having the most beautiful dream. She dreamed that my dad (who had been gone for almost 14 years) had come to visit her and took her for a boat trip. She said that it was such a beautiful boat ride and that they were going into the most beautiful sunset. She died that night. :sad1: But the one comfort that I had was the fact that I really believe she was at peace with it because my dad had come to get her. I know she was so happy to see him again. If I had really thought about it at the time that she told me about it I would have realized how near the end really was - because it was so strange for my mom to say what a beautiful boat ride it was...she was terrified of boats!

Just wait until he hits those teen years. :lmao: Our boys are eating us out of house and home this summer. :lmao:

Gotta get dinner out of the over (mexican pie - yum). And after dinner I've got to run down to the fire department and do the reports for the month - monthly meeting is tomorrow night.

See you all later...maybe. ;)
