My girls and I are taking a 'ladies only' trip in January. We've had a lot going on recently and I am hesitant to book airfare right now. Sooooo..what I am thinking is I will book everything about 1 or 2 weeks in advance and take a chance at getting a really good deal on a deluxe. Has anyone gotten an upsale lately? Give me your opinion!

The codes for the hotels should be out very soon, keep a close eye on Mousesavers.com.

HAH, it is always best to book in advance when it comes to the codes. However, I do want to mention that magic can sometimes happen at the last minute.

I was at WDW a few weeks ago. My trip had been planned for almost a year in advance. Then, a few months prior to my trip, I decided to add on another night. I did, and got a discount for that one night. Then, two days before my trip was to begin, I moved my trip up one day earlier. So, less than 24 hours before my vacation was to begin, I called Disney and added on another night. I was able to secure an Annual Pass discount on that one night. So, as you can see, I truly got a last minute discount on a room. Magic does happen, however, it is always best to plan in advance. That way you can assure yourself of some discount magic and not sweat it out.

I wouldn't wait to book the resort. You can book now with the code and you just have to put one night on your cc. If you can't go at all, you can always cancel and get your monye back(within the five day cancel period). I would book now to have your choice of resort/view/etc.

You can also change to better codes as they become available. I booked our room a year ago w/ a AAA discount. Later added the disney club b/c it was a little cheaper then finally the annual passholders as it was about a 50% savings. So don't wait, the codes can be added later and you can cancel 5 days prior so why worry?!

Sorry to change the subject.

MEP319 -- I noticed in your signature you stayed at CBR in 2000, and say "Never again!" What is/was wrong with CBR that makes you say that?

We will be staying there for the first time in February, and have heard mostly positive things. We will be staying with 2 & 4-year old girls. It is our first stay in a moderate, and our first stay on-site since the Polynesian in 1991.

Thanks.

I understand it has since been re-modeled but I will give you my list....I thought the overall quality of the rooms in comparision to Port Orleans or Dixie Landings was very poor. The rooms were dark, poorly decorated and just seem to be more "worn" for lack of a better word. The grounds and pools didn't seem as nice either. The transportation was lacking and the walk to the transportation stop was way too long w/ a child. The resort is way too large and makes getting to the resturant/commons a chore. We have just started to stay at the Deluxe Resorts and as far as I'm concerned POR(formerly Dixie Landings) or POFQ are by far the nicest resorts for the dollar, in fact I considered staying there this time but my DD wanted to stay w/ the animals. I'm sure others may have different opinions but I will never stay there again. My husband felt the same way as well. In fact I was never so disappointed in a Disney Resort.
