We paid our cruise off about a week or so ago...now excursion time is coming! We are planning to only do one excursion, the 12 metre Regatta in St Marteen....should be a blast! Any other takers on that one???

Now Beano as a server in the dining room...I would love to see that! LOL!

Hi guys,
I'm feeling a little bummed.

DD(24) & DS(21) both going through some tough personal times right now. Short of it...neither are feeling as up for this cruise as my DH and I are.

DD's place of work (she's a cosmetologist) Has undergone a shake up that found her good friend and mentor out of a job. As a result, her self-esteem is in the toilet. We went shopping today for some cruise wearand it was pretty dismal. She is back on a "I'm too fat" kick (she has lost 90+ lbs. on WW). "I'm not wearing shorts or a bathing suit, nor do I want to be on any excursion that requires me to wear that"

Great!! We're on a freakin' Caribbean cruise and she wants to be Goth martyr

My son had a fight with his girlfriend. He said don't worry about me, I'll just bring my video games and play them in the cabin

Sorry for venting. I'm just worried about everyone having a good time. I guess I'm also thinking, Gee! My parents sure never took ME on a cruise!LOL! And of course, then I cringe and think, Boy you sound like your Mom!LOL!

Hoping the attitudes change with the lattitude!

nicurnc - Right before the cruise last year I saw about 15 people that I had worked with for 20 years lose their jobs because of a company buy out. Heck, I didn't even know if I would have a job when I got back from the cruise. The cruise was a great distraction from all the bad things that were going on. The cruise was relaxing and there was no way that I could not have had a good time especially with this great group of fellow DIS people!

The cruise is a wonderful distraction from everything that seems to be stressful at home.....time to actually unplug! That is why I love cruising so much!

I just can't wait to see my DIS friends!

Sorry for your troubles, Loretta. But I believe that the change in lattitude DOES bring about a change of attitude!

It does for me, anyway. I am an even bigger goofball when I am on the cruises.
