Look on eBay. There are lots of reliable battery sellers there and you can get a battery for much cheaper than buying an OEM one from Dell. I have done this many times with no problems.

When my battery on my Dell laptop went, my husband looked on their website and it was so expensive -- so he got it through amazon! Just type in the battery number, and it should come right up. I haven't had any issues with it at all - works great. Also, got my new charger via Amazon when my Dell charger went.

I chose 9 cell batteries instead of the 6 cell so they last a bit longer. Full size laptops are battery hogs.

Just type in the battery number, and it should come right up.

We just got a new battery for DH's laptop from Newegg. Price + coupon + shipping came to about $55. So far it works great!

I bought one on Amazon. The first battery I received didn't last long (a few months) but since I was dealing with Amazon customer service I received a replacement that has worked great (fingers crossed) and didn't have any issues returning the first one.
