Lands End vs. LL Bean

I'm in the market for some new sleepshirts (mundane, I know). I'm having back surgery in january and won't really be able to wear pants for at least the first few weeks (I believe it will be uncomfortable.) I also won't be able to leave the house (or hardly the bedroom!) for that time either.

Long story short, I'm used to sweats and I have no sleepshirts. I found a couple that looked nice on Lands End and LL Bean, but I have no idea which ones I should order! Is one company better than the other?

Land's End is owned by K-Mart (Sears), and some feel that has adversely affected doing business with them. Personally, I've always preferred LL Bean, especially with regard to the quality of the clothing.

I shop at both and think the quality is excellent at both -- don't think you could go wrong at either store. Check out Lands End overstocks -- you can usually find some really good deals there.

Lands End has tanked in quality and customer service since being purchased by Sears. LL Bean is top quality and has great customer service.

I used to use Lands End a lot. But have to agree about the quality since Sears took them over. Now, I try to shop LLBean more. I love the quality. It's a bit pricier but my clothes seem to last longer through LLBean.

We haven't noticed that at all. I buy a lot of my boys clothes from Lands End -- and their clothes are the true test of what is quality and what is not. Very active boys who tend to be very hard on their clothes, buying Lands End guarantees clothing that will withstand that sort of day in and day out wear and tear. We've also had great customer service from Lands End, plus I like that you can take stuff back to Sears if you need to rather than have to hassle with shipping it back.
