Lamest Attractions

I think JC is a hoot (when you don't have a bad guide!)

And I don't get why everyone hates the Indy Speedway. The kids like it, and you can just zippy yourself right on by if you don't like it.

Now, Stitch and Sounds Dangerous...Oh, they have to go! (and IMHO, that stunt show, too.)

Long live the Jungle Cruise! :thumbsup2

how about the tiki tiki tiki room. They should rename it the nap nap nap room. :rotfl2:

And yes, I've sat through since they redid it. Still bored stiff. :teeth:
I used to love the Enchanted Tiki Room until they redid it. Now I'm with you... pretty lame.

My votes are Tomorrowland Indy Speedway and Stitch's Great Escape.
I found both to be a waste of time.

I completely forgot about Stitch. Yes, it is quite lame. But at least it's got the 'new' factor going for it. We've been on it once and each time we see the scads of people waiting outside, my DH and I shake our heads and say, "no thanks!"

But that's what makes WDW so great. There's something for every taste. What's one person's Hall of Presidents is anothers Splash Mountain. And there's got to be someplace on a long hot tiring day where you can sit back and catch a cat nap....Hall of Presidents, American Adventure, Sounds Dangerous.:bitelip:

I love WDW so much that it's hard for me to truly 'admit' that ANY ride could be lame. But if I have to answer it it would have to be Snow White. Yes, I understand it's for kids, but even so...

Aaaghh-SW is not for kids-you try riding that thing on your own late at night, then imagine that they forget you're in there and switch off to go home :scared1: -Its way scarier than HM.

Spiff (Just love your name by the way, I feel a certain connection :rotfl2: ) Lmaest ride -ie so lame I haven't done it in 6 visits to WDW/DL has to be Swiss Family Robinson/tarzan's treehouse, although any attraction that I have to do standing up does not get my vote LOL

Stitch's Lame Escape. (shudder... )

I agree with the Tiki Tiki room, I never actuale made it thru a whole show but I always feel bad when I leave, I feel like Im hurting the birds feelings :confused3

My kids love the INDY cars and I must admit as a kid we always hit this one first since it was my FAVORITE! Where else could a kid drive a real car!

Now my boys love it too.

Jungle Cruise? We LOVE yelling out all the punchlines.....we had a group of 15 of us on a boat last year and we yelling out all the jokes....the guide was cracking up (if he was annoyed we would have stopped).

I think Snow White is better now that they've fixed it up a bit.....I don't love it but I see many little girls who do.

When I think about the rides I consider "lame" I still can't imagine having mose of them removed....and each probably hold some special memory for some guest but if I had to pick - I'd agree with above posters - the Tiki Enchanted Tiki Room

Stitch's Lame Escape! Quite possibly the 2nd worst redesign of an attraction in WDW history (after the first redesign of Imagination...)

I agree with you completely. But you forget the redesign of the Tiki Birds. Good Grief - talk about an un-timeless show. Dated music. YUK.

I can't really say that I find any ride lame (granted I haven't been on Stitch's "New" Ride), but I loved Alien Encounter the first time I tried it.

The Indy Cars have to many memories for me to want to change. That is the ride that my DS and I call "Our" ride. The one we always ride together. How can I call that lame. That is a great treasure.

The Jungle Cruise is also one of my favorites. To put it into perspective, look at it from the eyes of a 5 year old. By those standards Snow White is also a great ride.

They have rides for us Tower of Terror, Rockin Rollercoaster, Space Mountain, etc, etc. There also has to be some rides for the younger folk as well.

Lame rides? I don't think so.

I would never go on the Speedway without my kids, but they LOVE it - so, I love it for them. :goodvibes

I LOVE the Jungle Cruise - the guide really makes or breaks the experience. :sunny:

The Tiki Room was better before the refurb, but I still like it - people who leave during the show are rude. It's dark in there & to have someone leave and interrupt the show by blasting the room with sunlight is uncalled for. :sad2:

We also love the 'lameness of the Rio Del Tiempo', it's always a walk on, and we get a kick out of it! :sunny:

So, I have a hard time coming up with a truly lame attraction, but I'll go with the new Imagination ride in Epcot, just terrible after the refurb - we won't go on it again! :guilty:

I'm sorry, but I disagree completely about the Jungle Cruise. Like others have said, this was Walt Disney's concept and favorite attraction. Though the technology has improved since the JC was built, in its day it was a marvel. Riding the JC reminds me of all the magical moments I have had at WDW (20+ trips and counting), and I am passing on appreciating the creativity put into rides like these to my DD7. I agree that the JC could use an update, but on the other hand, it's a classic.

The Indy Speedway, however, is another matter. There are rides like this at every amusement park in America. Why not give it a Herbie theme? That would make it more relevant, imho.

The Tiki Room has been all of my family's least favorite ride for years and years. I also vote for that one.

Never been on Jungle Cruise.... but I would agree that Indy Speedway should be updated to less polluting cars if they're going to keep it. I'm sure Walt Disney would want the Tomorrowland theme held true, and right now it's clear that the way of tomorrow is gas/electric hybrids and electric vehicles.

I totally agree 100% on that concept! Keep the ride just modernize it a little!

I agree with this completely. The Herbie theme would totally bring it all together. I would love to see that change in the near future. :thumbsup2

My votes for the lamest rides are Stitch's Great Escape at MK and Imagintion at Epcot.

I love the JC and the IS (my son was soooo chuffed when he could drive on his own, as another poster said what's not to love?)
personally I'd dump Stitch, swiss family treehouse, Drew Carey, Journey into imagination and Dumbo - all that waiting for about 60 seconds of ride :confused3

That one gets my vote. I really enjoyed the jungle cruise, our boat driver was great but then again I'm easily amused by bad jokes. :rotfl2:

I agree whole heartedly with you on this one!! I like Stitch, but that ride has GOT TO GO!!!!!

I know that I am totally going to be in the minority here, but I just have to say it.

My vote for the lamest attraction in WDW is Test Track. My drive in rush hour traffic is more intense than Test Track.

Along with, after riding Test Track my Hubby and I turned to each other and said, "Gee, do you want to a GM car because I want to buy a GM car." Over the top advertising + a totally not intense ride= LAME in my book.

I'm not sure I'd classify anything as lame. What one person enjoys another might not. If Disney took out all of the "lame" rides and put in all thrill rides then families would have to stop going because there would be nothing for the children or less adventurous people to do. My son rode Jungle Cruise last year for the first time (that he could remember) at 3.5 -- he thought it was one really cool ride - he didn't know the animals in the water were fake and he really thought we were going to hit that waterfall. And he can't wait to go back in November and drive the cars - kids get the same thrill on those cars as teenagers do the first time they're turned lose with a real car. I haven't done the Tiki Room since the change a few years back but it was always good for a rest/nap in a cool, dark place and I do plan on trying to get to it this year (waiting for my children to get older because I didn't want to leave halfway through because of the darkness). Probably my least favorite attractions are Swiss Family Treehouse (too much work), Astro Orbitor (makes me nauseous) and Snow White (just don't find it fun). But then again, those may be someone else's favorite attractions.
