Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

We also did a impossible mission in April in japan but it was totally different from yours. I want to try tepen edo one day. Next trip I am going to let my girls pick a pearl. I already bought them carriage necklaces that will hold the pearl off of eBay for like three dollars each

That sounds like a very nice evening at Epcot. I've never eaten at Teppan Edo, thinking that it would just be the same as my local Hibachi restaurant...is it better than those?

I saw that belly-dancer outfit in Morocco too and threatened to buy it for my wife. (as if I'd ever see it! :rotfl2: )

There must be 2 missions in Japan. The one we watched was totally different than the one we did. Your girls are going to love it. It's a great experience.

This was the first Hibachi place we've ever eaten at so we really enjoyed it. We really need to try the one here to compare. Of course the jokes we got were on the Disney side.

But you could always dream!

I love KP. It is my new guilty pleasure and I did not do Japan yet! We thought Germany was absolutely hysterical but they may have been because we were drinking! :rolleyes1 And when your drinking and beer steins sing to you, well what more do I need to say?

I also love Teppan Edo. I really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. So much fun. Our last time there we had a really fun couple sitting with the 6 of us. It was great. It wouldn't be very fun for a couple who didn't participate.

Lobster fishing for a hobby? Sheesh!

Fun update! I really want to plan some extra time in Japan next trip. I would love Tappan Edo. Your girls are so pretty, and looks as though they are very sweet as well!

Wonderful update full of fun stuff! I"m wearing my ring right now- such a fun souvie! Not as fun as Glenn's dream souvenir from Morroco, but still nice. :rotfl:

Depends on your local Hibachi Place. If it's a Benihana, then hands down teppan edo is better. I have been to and tried every Hibachi place within 45 minutes from my house (theres alot of them here), and Although some one of the higher end ones here do a better show, nothing compares with the magic of being at disney.

The food is very good at TE, they trim their meats well (some of the ones here don't).

The best part of Teppan Edo is that if you go into dinner after dark and say Kon Bon Wa and through out a loud excited itadakemasu before you begin to eat they will understand what you are saying and be excited that you have taken the time to learn something about their culture.

what a fun update! We love Teppan Edo too, the CM can really make the meal and it's just such a fun experience on top of some really yummy food!

those stairs are a killer though. I love your night epcot PP shot, that's a fun one! What a great day!

How many missions did y'all do? I think it waould be a blast to do them without kids.

We really enjoyed our meal.

We spent lots of time in Japan this trip.

Thanks for the compliment on my girls, I think they're pretty too and sweet most of the time.

We still need to plan a Dis Meet in BR.

Great update!

Love the food porn! Looks like a really great meal.

Glenn, I know better than to suggest such a thing. First Lady Biscuit would no doubt reciprocate with a Sumo outfit.

.

We did 4 altogether. I forget a lot of the Germany mission because I was drinking, so I have to repeat that one in May. :rolleyes1

We must have been in there for over an hour once again. We even made our way through the very expensive pearls in the back. Have you ever been in there? They have some truly beautiful pearls in that nice posh room. I ended up getting some candy and Danielle got some kind of drink. There really is just too much in there to buy. Next time I'm going to take pictures like MeMom.

We said goodbye to Epcot since this was our final day in this park.

Tomorrow would be our final day at Animal Kingdom and Jada and Lauren's final park day.

It is easy to stay in that store for an hour. There is so much to see! I will enjoy seeing any pictures you take. :)

I do not like it when you know you are leaving a park for the last time of a trip. :sad2:

OMG! I noticed on another TR that you attend St. Jean Vianney. I used to attend masses there and religious education classes years ago. I was in the 10th and 11th grade. My mom moved to Baton Rouge in 1991 when her and my dad divorced so she could attend nursing school. I tell you, it's a small world out there.

I think this meal was our favorite meal of the trip.

That would make an interesting picture!

Thanks MeMom! I dread leaving a park for the time.:sad2:

Small World! We joined the church in 1992 when we moved back from S.C.

I want to apologize for slacking on the this report and all the reports I follow. This month has been real busy and I'm having a hard time keeping up. Danielle started Nutcracker rehearsals every Saturday and I've been working on swaps for my scrapbooking group. I'm also doing hand made Christmas cards this year and I'm guilty of spending lots of time reading. I started the True Blood series on October 1st. When I start reading something I have to read until I'm finished, so not much else gets done. I'm happy to report I finished the last book today. I try not to read since I know how single minded I get, I do love to read.

Did you love them? I adore how she takes all sorts of Southern stereotypes and puts a supernatural spin on them. After all, how many book series has the main character headed to Walmart to buy clothes for the naked vampire that has shown up? :lmao:

I did love them. I think the fact that I have never seen True Blood helped me enjoy them more. And of course I do live in Louisiana.

Speaking of vampires I'm still hoping to catch sight of some of the Twilight stars. They are here in town filming at a studio less than 5 miles from my house and still no sight of them. DH saw Edward at the Honda dealership buying a motorcycle and didn't tell me until 3 days later! He doesn't know how to use his camera on his phone. Lots of Michelle's friends have seen them out and about, but since I don't hit the night life I don't think I'll get too lucky. We ate at the subway across from where some of them are staying on Saturday after Nutcracker practice, but alas no sightings.

I haven't watched True Blood, either.

How cool would that be to see them??? You need to give DH a crash course in using his camera phone just in case! ::yes::

Unfortunately he's pretty hopeless when it comes to doing anything but using his phone to make and receive calls. His eyesight up close is so back that texting is a major chore.

We have just finished our second and final day at Epcot.:sad2: I truly hate saying goodbye to any park. While I can't say Epcot is my favorite park and do love it. This was a very long day that had a very early start with the 7:15 ADR at Chef Mickeys. I don't think I will ever make a breakfast ADR for that early again. I love to make rope drop but that was just too early. After 3 visits to Chef Mickeys I think it will be a while before we go back there again. Overall I thought it was a great day. We got to do a few things that everyone wanted to do and we had a really great first dinner at Teppan Edo. I do believe it will somewhere we eat again in the future. Of course there are still things we haven't done that will have to wait for sometime in the future. There is just so much to see and do in this park and so many tiny details to experience. Of course there are still more of the entertainment in World Showcase I would like to see along with the movies. There is still tons of stuff in Innoventions that we haven't done. Every time we go there is something different in there. There are still some KP missions Danielle hasn't done, and truth be told I would love to do a mission on my own someday.

We had a great start to our day with Jada and Lauren, but I'm really glad we got to spend sometime with just the 4 of us too. I'm also trilled that I finally got to do Pick a Pearl. I think it just might be a little addicting too. A girl can never have too many pearls right?

Up next is our 2nd and final day at Animal Kingdom.

I'm following Glenn and posting nothing so I can start my next update at the top of the page.
