Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

Vanessa.... you're making me hungry!!!

Great photos. I'm enjoying the report.

We go to Akershus every trip, but haven't been in the main hallway since 2004. Maybe this trip. It makes for such pretty photos! Much more like a castle.....

I feel for you. You know if the line for Maelstrom is 30 minutes long, it's crazy busy!

Have you had diner yet?

The lighting was really good in this room. It just felt bigger and not so crowded.

The crowds were crazy the whole week.

I think I have looked at those bags before, they are so cute.

I've been apprehensive to try Norway for lunch/dinner as well, glad to hear that it got mostly good reviews. The desserts look amazing!!

She loves her bag.

The food was good, but I do prefer the servings for breakfast. But yes I could most definitely do the deserts again.

Great update! Love the princess pics!

The food looks good - especially the dessert!

Hooray for Lauren riding Test Track!! Hope she continues to be adventurous!

Thanks! I sure go for some of the dessert right now.

Getting Lauren on rides was hit or miss. Test Track-yes, Malestorm-no.

Lauren finally rode her first real thrill ride and loved it! Now it's time to do something everyone will enjoy. Spaceship Earth. Danielle and I got the biggest kick out of this back in June. The picture taking caught us off guard so Danielle's photo was a hoot. This time we would be prepared. Dennis and Michelle hadn't ridden it since the rehab and I don't think Jada and Lauren had ever ridden it. Of course Jada was nervous but I told her there was no drops and when we came back down you do it backwards so I doesn't feel as scary. When we approached the wait time was posted as 15 minutes but it didn't feel like it since the line continued to move. Dennis and Danielle paired up, Michelle and I paired up and Jada sat with Lauren. Of course Dennis had to take some pictures.

We love this ride! It's so relaxing and of course I love history.

Pretty soon we were doing our futures on the way back down. Dennis had our camera so he took pictures of him and Danielle.

Michelle had her camera so she took some of us.

More to come!

Now we are finally going to start walking towards World Showcase starting in Canada.

But first we have to stop in Club Cool. Of course Danielle was dying to get Jada and Lauren with Beverly but I spoiled her fun and told them not to drink it.

Can you believe it, it's finally warm enough to take our jackets off! Notice Dennis has been wearing the Donald hoodie he bought the night before, and of course he hasn't worn it since we got back.

As we were making our way we finally stopped for some photo pass pictures. I had pre-bought the cd and I really needed to get my money's worth out of it.

We also took some pictures with our cameras.

Almost there!

One more stop on our way to the World Showcase. We had to stop for more hat pictures.

Of course Dennis would only do this at Disney!

Lauren truly does dream of being a bride someday!

One more look back.

We're finally here, World Showcase and Canada!

We continued onto the UK in hopes of catching our favorite entertainment that is everyone's but Dennis the World Showcase Players.

British Invasion was playing when we got there. We all sat on the curb for a while to listen. Jada wandered off for a smoke break and I took the little girls into the stores.

It was finally time to grabbed some curb for "The Holy Grail". Jada and I sat on the curb, Michelle, Danielle and Lauren sat behind the rope and Dennis disappeared. He always does this, I think he's scared he'll get picked. Once a nice crowd had gathered the started picking their characters.

Now I'm going to leave you with a cliffhanger. Who got picked to play?

Ooooh, that's a good cliff hanger!

Love the hat pictures, that is one of my favorite things to do in Disney. pirate:

Well helloooooooooooooooo! Sorry I have been MIA on your TR lately! I've been around. Just not posting much. The weather looks awesome in these last pics! And boo on you for not letting them taste the Beverly! That's the best part of the trip for me:rotfl: Really, I do love getting new people to try it. It never gets old!

I am loving all the pics. Keep em coming! Can't wait to hear who got picked:surfweb:

I'm so trilled I HAVE a cliff hanger!

We tried to play with the hats as much as possible. I scrapbook and I have a page planned out in my mind for all those hat pictures.

I know I spoiled the fun!

Next update we'll all get to see who got to play.

The World Showcase Players were scanning the crowd to pick their actors. King Arthur was picked.

Lancelot was soon chosen.

So the only character left was Pelham. Remember when I said Jada was sprinkled with lots of Pixie Dust this trip? First she and Lauren were chosen as the Family of the Day at All Star Sports and now she was chosen to play Pelham. I don't remember is she caught the show with us in 2004 so I think this caught her by surprise, but she played along.

If you have never caught this little show put it at the top of your list for your next visit! We love it! We know all the audience participation saying and all the bad jokes. For the girls and I it is must do every trip. We had a blast watching this again and laughed until our sides hurt. I'm so happy Jada got to participate and that we will all have this memory.

And of course the show was RUBBISH!

After doing something I wanted to do it was time to do something Dennis wanted to do. Jada and Lauren crossed the bridge and went in search of a snack in France. Jada wanted a crepe, we had enjoyed them in 2004. We crossed back over into Canada. Along the way we stopped for the traditional phone booth photo.

We were hoping to catch an Off Kilter set. As luck would have it we made it back in time but had to grab a squat on the ground as all the benches were taken. Danielle doesn't like loud sounds so she wasn't happy about this but Dennis, Michelle and I enjoyed the set. We also watched a very frisky squirrel that had to be related to the squirrel we had seen the day before in DTD. He went up to people and begged for food too.

After Off Kilter we went back towards France to meet up with Jada and Lauren. We looked around for a while and the girls eyed the parasols. Dennis loves to take landscape pictures as we walk around the World. He took these as we walked toward Japan with hopes of catching the drummers.

More in next post.

More pictures.

We made it to Japan but we didn't catch the drummers.

Once in Japan we had to go into Mitshukoshi Department store. Michelle had her pearl from her first trip in 1999. Of course I had forgotten to bring Danielle's pearl from our 2009 trip. Michelle wanted to pick another pearl so she paid to pick one. Since I felt bad about forgetting Danielle's pearl we paid for her to pick one too. We sat back and watched a few picks until it was the girls turn. Since they were together they picked together.

Here is Michelle's pearl

It was 7 1/4 mm. Next Danielle's was opened.

It was 8 mm! Notice all our reactions.

Both pearls together.

Michelle had her pearl set into a ring and we had Danielle's set into a pendant. She is too young for ring she would only outgrown and it was too big for a cage. While we waited for the setting we shopped around some more and Lauren wanted her shot at picking a pearl

More to come.

Lauren was concentrating hard on her pick.

I don't remember what size her pearl was but she had it set in a pendant with her birthstone. Jada also bought her a chain. The girls were told not to wear their jewelry until the next day. Poor Danielle didn't get to wear hers at all since I had also forgot the silver chain she had gotten for Christmas and she didn't let me forget it either.

By the time we finally made it out of the store it was dark and we were hungry.

It was time for some dinner. I was hoping everyone would want Sunshine Seasons. We missed out on eating there in June and I was just dying for it. Luckily everyone agreed to head back to Future World, but instead of walking all the way back we took the boat.

On the way there another shot of Future World.

Up next dinner and the end to our first park day. Do we stay for Illumniations?

Wow, I really like Dennis' landscape shots of WS!
DH and I had Sunshine Seasons last year and had Chinese. We thought it was better than the food we had the year before that at the Chinese pavillion CS place. Of course you can't beat the desserts there either! ;)
Has anyone said yet that you and your sister could be twins?
