Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

I can't wait to pick a pearl in Sept! I bought a Cinderella cage and I really hope the pearl fits in there!

Wow, I really like Dennis' landscape shots of WS!
DH and I had Sunshine Seasons last year and had Chinese. We thought it was better than the food we had the year before that at the Chinese pavillion CS place. Of course you can't beat the desserts there either! ;)
Has anyone said yet that you and your sister could be twins?

The desserts are the best at Sunshine Seasons!:thumbsup2

Of all my sisters, Jada looks the most like me. I won't say I look like her because I'm the older sister and came first. I'm actually almost 5 years older than her. But yes I do hear that a lot.

Awesome pix of Epcot !!! The lanscape pix are great !!! Glad Jada got picked in The Holy Grail!! I love that too and also Romeo and Ethel in Italy!!Lessa's Mom got picked to be Ethel once !!!

Thanks! I'll tell Dennis he has gotten more compliments on his pictures. I'm sure his head won't get too big. We got a kick out of Jada getting picked. I've only caught the Romeo show once. When we saw it it was Romeo and Edna. I tried to volunteer Michelle up.

You're going to love it. I forgot to write about the show the girls do when you pick. Michelle does an excellent impersonation of the ladies. If you do pick one that is too big just make it into a ring and pick another one.

Wonderful pictures.

I love the little ceremony that they do for Pick a Pearl, it's just so much fun. I did that in 2008 and I have no idea where it is. I need to find that.

How fun that your sister got picked to be in the show in UK. :thumbsup2

You are right it is EDNA!!!!:lmao:

That pic from Futureworld is beautiful! And the pearls the girls got are awesome. I just got our two cages in the mail. I got one for Aubrey and of course I couldn't resist getting one for myself:rolleyes1 Now I'm worried about the pearls not fitting. I did the pick a pearl thing on the Boardwalk and it was pretty big. I put it on a pendant. The idea of a ring to match is appealing, though! I love Sunshine Stations. It is so good! Great day in the WS! Can't wait to hear more!

Thank you! I don't think he ever tires of taking pictures in Epcot.

It was funny. We laughed so hard.

It was from your report that I learned the tip to pick the ugliest shell. I told the girls and Danielle did real good. If your pearl is too big set it in a ring and pick another for the cage. I would really like to make this an every trip tradition. Michelle picked in 1999 and Danielle picked in 2009. The both picked on this trip and stayed tuned to see if I finally get to pick one.

We were finally headed to diner at my beloved Sunshine Seasons. I was so looking forward to this. I was very disappointed that we didn't make it there in June 2009. Once we got into the food area we sent Danielle and Lauren to hold down some tables and the rest of us separated to find what we wanted. The wonderful thing about the dining plan is each person can check out alone if they want to with their cards. Also since this was our third time using it we pretty much had it down pat. Jada had a little more trouble with it. This was her first time and Lauren is a very picky eater. Basically she doesn't eat anything that's good for her. Give her candy or chips and she's happy. Normally I would get the rotisserie chicken, which I love, but since I had chicken for lunch I wanted something else. I settled on the Mongolian beef and the desert I had been dreaming of, strawberry shortcake. I don't remember what Dennis had. Michelle got the chicken and Danielle got the chicken ceasar salad. Once we got back to the table we looked around and almost everyone had the same desert. Since it was Valentine's Day they had candy hearts on them.

As soon as we were all seated I got my first text from a Diser. I didn't recognize the number so I wasn't sure who it was yet. The text asked if I was here yet? And where was I? After replying and saying I was at Sunshine Seasons I knew who it was. JORDAN! I had given him my number but didn't have his. Michelle saved his information for me in my phone. Can you guess what she saved it under? Imaginary Jordan. He had checked into AKV that day and was headed out to MK for EMH. I thought real hard about meeting him but no one else was game to go. After diner we had plans to set up for Illuminations and we were already tired. We made plans to meet up on Tuesday at DHS. We finished our meals and I have to say I wish I had stuck with the chicken. The beef just wasn't near as good.

On our way to set up a spot for Illuminations we took some night photo pass pictures.

Notice that we are bundled up, because it was getting cold!

We ended up in the section right at the beginning of World Showcase in the center. We found plenty of room to spread out and crop a squat. This area slopes down so that the people in front of you don't block your view provided they stay seated. Since this was suppose to be Jada and Lauren's only day in Epcot Lauren still wanted to ride the boat in Mexico. Jada willingly took both girls to ride while we held the spots. I was really looking forward to this. Jada, Lauren and Michelle had never seen it. Dennis hadn't seen in since 2002. Danielle and I had a horrible view of it back in June, which was her first time. While waiting I grabbed a Diet Coke and after a while we even laid down to wait. Those bags you carry all day make great pillows. Jada and the girls made it back right before the start and by that time they had to squeeze in since it had gotten crowded. The girls had ridden twice. As soon as they were settled Jada took off for a smoke break. She made it back a little after it started. It was beautiful! We didn't take any pictures, we just enjoyed the show. Although our view was blocked at times by people standing up for the most part we had a good view. I'm so happy I got to share this with my family finally. It's such a moving show. It's not my favorite night time show but still moves me. Being near the front of World Showcase gave us an advantage once the show was over. Michelle and I were dying for a bathroom break but Dennis and Danielle were ready to go. We said our goodbyes to Jada and Lauren and took off as fast as we could to the bathrooms. Dennis and Danielle headed to the buses and said they would meet us back at the resort. I knew I wanted to use some uncrowded bathrooms so we could hurry to the buses and not get stuck waiting forever. Since I use the restroom a lot I'm real good at doing it quick. Michelle and I took off holding hands and speed walking towards the front. I'm not going to lie after we passed a good bit of the crowd we ran! We were headed for the bathrooms at the back of the character connections area. I didn't think they would be crowded since you have to look for them. And I was right. We were running and laughing but we made it there in record time. We were in and out in a flash, feeling much better afterward. We rushed to the bus and guess what? Dennis and Danielle were still there waiting. We made in on the same bus and even had a seat. POFQ is very close to Epcot, we were back at the resort for 9:40. Dennis and Danielle grabbed everyone's mugs and headed to the food court. They seemed to take a long time to make it back. Of course it took them a long time they had ice cream before bringing us back our mugs. In no time at all we all settled in and headed off to sleep. We had a big day planned at the Magic Kingdom. Rope drop, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

Up next . . . My not so Magical start at the Magic Kingdom!

I love the nighttime photopass pics at Epcot. I have never gotten night ones there, I'm going to have to do that in September.

Illuminations is not my favorite nighttime show either but I do enjoy it. All of Disney's shows are so well done.

Strawberry Shortcake, I love that. It makes a really good breakfast too. :rolleyes1

Phew - I'm all caught up!! Great udpates! I love how at the princess lunch, Belle and Cinderella are wearing coats/capes, yet Jasmine is still in her skimpy outfit! :lmao: I have never seen Belle in her cape - it is really beautiful!

Great photopass pictures at Epcot! And I love that Test Track ride photo!

I have never had the pleasure of seeing either the UK players or Off Kilter! :sad2: They are both on my list for next time!

We love the pick-a-pearl thing too! My girls both got one in February, but I have yet to put them in something. I'm going to order the princess carriages for them though - they will be perfect!

That strawberry shortcake looks delicious!!! It's also on my list!

Looking forward to your MK day! :goodvibes

Sara

I adore IllumiNations! The music is so awesome. I also love the chicken from Sunshine Seasons. Tony and I always share it and get strawberry shortcake. So delicious!

I was pretty happy with our pictures this trip. Of course I wish we had taken more. The nighttime pictures look so special.

Strawberry Shortcake for breakfast would be the bomb. I'll have to remember that. Pick some up on the way out and save for the next morning.

That's a good point! I know I have pictures with Jasmine wearing a little more covering for the cooler weather.

Thanks! Michelle and I played along but Lauren looks scared out.

Do both! World Showcase players are my favorite.

I'm still holding onto Danielle's pearl from 2009.

Very delish!

Looking forward to your MK day! :goodvibes

Mk has it's good points and bad points. This is the day Dennis didn't follow the plan if you know what I mean.

I truly enjoyed IllumiNations on this trip. Next time I'm sticking with the chicken and getting me some more shortcake. I hope you make it there in September and eat some for me.

Before we move onto our first Magic Kingdom day I wanted to recap our Epcot day on what we did and what we still wanted to do.

We pretty much did what we planned for this day. Dennis and Michelle rode Mission Space. We all did Soarin' and Test Track. We hit Nemo and Friends and The Land. We did Spaceship Earth, Malestrom and some of us did the ride in Mexico. The girls did one KP Mission. We saw Off Kilter and King Arthur and the Holy Grail. We also caught a little British Invasion. The girls all picked a Pearl and we saw Illuminations for the first time as a family. So what do we have left. Well we did not do anything in Innoventions yet, which Danielle loves. We hadn't hit Universe of Energy or the Imagination Pavilion. We also had only seen a few countries around the World Showcase. I of course would love to catch some more of the entertainment. But we do still have one more day at Epcot to get some more things done.

I still have sooooo much I haven't done at Epcot !!! My plan for Peepfest is to persuade Jordan to do a Kim Mission with me and do some goofy things in Innoventions ! I have really only walked thru it as being solo as in NO kids I feel sorta strange !! Jordan will be the Perfect kid and DJay too!!

Well it was finally here our big day at the Magic Kingdom. Truth be told this is my favorite park. I love them all but this one is my favorite.

We had a big day planned. Of course of day would start with Rope Drop. We wanted to hit the big rides; Space Mountain (closed on our 6/09 trip)and BTMR. Splash sadly was closed. We wanted to do Buzz, Laugh Comedy floor, Indy cars, the Tea Cups (Danielle will only ride with her Dad), Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Philarmagic, Small World, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion and the train. Since Toontown would be going away we wanted to tour the houses and hopefully ride Barnstormer. Danielle and Lauren had a 2:10 appointment at BBB too. We had and 5 ADR for 1900 Park Fare and of course I wanted to at least catch Wishes. Pretty tall list! Let's see how much we can get done.

We woke early and Dennis, Danielle and I headed to breakfast in the Food Court. Of course Michelle stayed in the room to finish getting ready. She requested we pick her up a muffin and chocolate milk. She would meet us at the bus stop. We hit the food court by 7:40 and made it to the bus stop by 8:10. We waited only 5 minutes for a bus. We were so amazed how close everything seemed to POFQ. We made it to MK in 15 minutes. We set up close to catch the opening show. I love this show and it never fails to make me leak a little. For Michelle this would be her first time. In the past we either entered for EMH or she slept in and met us later. But after hearing us singing the song and seeing our pictures she wanted to see it for herself. This would also be the first time Jada and Lauren would see it too. They got the park about 15 minutes after us. We went to the locker rentals and stored the girls princess dresses for later.

Waiting for Mickey.

Right on time the Mayor came out to greet us.

And the other Main Street dancers.

After singing "Good Morning" and welcoming us we hear "Casey Jr" and the train pulled in.

Mickey and the Characters unloaded.

And the countdown began. 5...4...3..2..1!

And the rush down Main Street.

Now the plan as I understood it was that I would speed walk ahead of everyone and get fps for Space Mountain. They would meet me outside Buzz and all ride together. Hopefully Jada would make there in time to ride too. She walks much slower than us. So I took off ahead of the others on a mission. Dennis, Michelle and Danielle made their way a little slower behind.

Continued in next post.
