Ladies-What do you think of the diamond heart pendants? Cheesy? Cliche? For kids?

DW's birthday is in roughly 10 hours. Thinking of getting her one of those diamond heart pendants. I like them, and we usually have the same taste, but what do you guys think?

Are they cheesy? cliche? just for teenagers? other?

(note also that I usually get her nothing for her birthday)

All kidding aside -- I like them too -- I think the "advertised" ones take no thought. She'll love it.

I don't care for them either. I prefer my jewelry to be more "one of a kind." I don't want to be wearing the same thing as everyone else. Just me though. Your DW may just love it, especially since you don't usually get her anything.

I agree. It seems as though every other person I know has either the heart, the circle or the journey pendant.

Not usually my thing either. Only reason being they're everywhere! Same with the journey and circle jewelry. Years ago I loved the thought of the circle design... but pieces like that were few and far between then. Now that I can find them anywhere... I no longer want one.

Having said that, I think it's wonderful you're thinking of getting something for your wife and say if your heart tells you she'd love a heart pendant, then go for it!

Some of them are pretty, some are tacky.

Maybe look for one with a gemstone she really likes as opposed to one thats more common.
