Ladies-What do you think of the diamond heart pendants? Cheesy? Cliche? For kids?

I don't like heart-shaped anything. I think they are childish and immature (sorry :love:fans!) and not my style.

That being said, I do have a heart shaped pendant ... but that was one of two things I ever received from my grandmother. That and a golfing trophy. I treasure it because I know that if my grandmother had not given it to me herself then I would have had was a golfing trophy and my aunt would have the pendent.

I like the journey ones better, hearts aren't my thing.

Ditto!:thumbsup2

But, if she is a heart gal Im sure she'll :lovestruc it! Happy B-day to her!

ps - I like the circles best but _are_ pretty common, but if she doesnt mind trendy any are truly good because its from you.

I've had one for years, and I still love it. The quality of the stones seems to vary a lot even if the price is about the same, so shop carefully.

I also find it interesting that 2 people that said they don't like heart-shaped things have heart-shaped things in their signatures!

Ha! Caught :lmao:. I took that picture at Hiroshima last August. It is made from paper peace cranes and was put together by ... children.

I prefer my jewelry to be more "one of a kind." I don't want to be wearing the same thing as everyone else.

While surfing for bling on eBay, I realised I really love heart jewelry. However, not all hearts. Some are tasteful, some are really cheesy & tacky. I love marcasite heart jewelry because the detailing really makes them unique and well thought out.

I prefer to buy my jewelry from craft fairs, where the designs are one of a kind. I can't stand those circle "O" pendants. For one thing, they were popularized by Oprah. She's wearing them because they are her initial. So everyone else is wearing her initial. Marketing has made them more mainstream for everyone else by calling them the Circle - Eternity pendants, but basically people are really wearing Oprah's initial.

I think the Journey pendant is tacky, because it's such a trend right now. In about a year, they will go the way of the "Kissing Cousins" jewelry that was such a trend in the '70s. That's such a waste of diamonds, especially if they've been mined under dangerous conditions. I suppose I don't mind if they are lab created diamonds. But I still think the idea is cheesy because so many other people have them. :crowded::crowded:

I love heart pendants, especially ones with diamonds. My dd gave me one that has a mother holding a baby on the top, I wear it everyday :lovestruc

I like them. DH got me one a couple of years ago and I love it. If you're not sure, you could always get her a diamond circle pendant (eternity pendant, I think they're called).

I didn't know Oprah wore one. I don't have one, but I like them and not because they have anything to do with Oprah or the eternity idea. I just think they're pretty.

I love hearts and diamonds, but when looking at the pendants I didn't really like them and didn't like the tradional circle.

What I have is I guess a journey circle - the diamond on top is the biggest and then the diamonds go down in size to complete a circle. I have never seen anyone else with it and I have received many compliments on it.

Not a fan. I also do not care for heart shaped anything. I like things different and see too many journey pendants, heart pendants etc. I will wear a cross (and that is common) but it is not a fashion statement. It is just about my faith.

I actually wear a open Mickey outline (as in hidden Mickey) around my neck most of the time. I also have the Disney one that is silver and sorta looks like a scribbled Mickey head. :)

Jewelry is very personal to me. I really like to pick it out myself.

Good luck!!

Those O pendants always make me think of Oprah and diaphrams.:confused3 Not together but that is what they look like to me. No offense of course to anyone who likes them. I do like the heart pendants but like someone mention I don't want the latest Zales jewelery of the month. I have a heart but it was my Grandmother's. I have never seen one designed like it and have received many compliments on it. I am sure your wife will love whatever you get her.:cutie:

I wouldn't mind a diamond heart pendant. But it would be at least a 2 carat solitaire stone. Probably not what you were thinking.;) (And something I definitely won't be getting!) I personally love hearts. When hubby and I got engaged, my ring was a heart solitaire. Hearts were not common on jewelry at all then--he had the ring custom designed. Hearts are our thing and I have several heart pieces of jewelry. So, if I were receiving your gift, I would love it and appreciate the thought.

I hate the journey pendant. We joke and call it the sperm necklace. I'm not a big fan of the circle necklaces, but like the idea of the eternity band rings. My Christmas gift was a rainbow sapphire eternity band. It is unusual and I love it.

Well, if you're curious, this is what I got her. I wanted to find one exactly like this, but with all the stones the same size. No luck there. This is as close as I could come:

14k white gold, 1/2 carat total diamond weight

She loves it!

It's beautiful!

What matters most is the love and thought behind the gift. You're a wonderful husband for thinking of her.... and a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your wife. :)

It is beautiful - and I think the varying stone size makes it more unique!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes Lucky wife!

I definitely agree with this!!!

I like this one more than others because it is a bit "unique" looking than many of the ones I have seen.
