Ok, 1st to you ladies who have work issues-I'm one of you. I only get a week vacation and it's already reserved for our family trip, so I'm going to only go Thurs-Sun and have to use a couple of sick days-it won't be a complete lie I have the Adult only strain of Disneyitis, curable with a Ladies Only trip to Disney :thumbsup2 Anyway, if you can't make it the whole time, make it a weekend trip, yes it may be crazy for some of you who don't live in the immediate area, but you'll make memories for a lifetime :goodvibes

I have stayed at CS, it was only for 1 night, but it was very nice and the rooms were big enough. It did not have the "kiddie" feel that the AS do. I haven't been to CBR, so I can't really compare the two. POR is very nice and the boat to DTD is a big plus. I'm considering an AP since I'll be returning in Nov and that could help with the room discount.

I think all of the ideas sound great so far. My idea is that we should have 1 "official" breakfast as a group and 1 "official" dinner as a group, just a thought. Also I've done the Grand Gatherings Firework cruise and it was a lot of fun and we may have enough to have the boat to ourselves. Oh and who would be up for a night a PI-the Adventurer's Club is my favorite!!

If we do a moderate, I would vote CS. I haven't stayed at CBR, but just LOVE CS. I think the official breakfast and dinner idea is great, and I also would be up for a night at PI!

Hmmmm, I heard that was going around. :rolleyes1

Love the official breakfast and dinner ideas! That would be great for those who live in the area and are only going to join us for a day or an evening. I kinda like the fact that the CS does not have a kiddie feel to it. Might be nice for a change. :confused3

I think that with less kids around we may feel less guilty. I know that I'm all up for this now, but when I get down there and see all the kids with their families, it will make me miss my own. Not to worry though-the fun will make up for it :teeth: !!

awesome idea about a official breakfast and or dinner
that would be cool, there are so many great places to eat you might have to do a poll to pick one LOL

we may fill up an entire bus !
So far by my count we have 23 at this point who have said yes they can/will go.
And another 12 who are thinking about it and have to see the cost, talk to their DH, etc.
Not too shabby so far!! :thumbsup2

Okay, I told my two older kids this morning that I was going to WDW in Sept.

This is how it played out:
DS: What?? Who are you going with?
ME: A group of ladies from the DIS boards.
DD: I wanna go!!
DS: Me too! I wanna go on Mission Space again! (thinks for a second) It's all ladies?
ME: Yes.
DS: Old ladies?
ME: Not old! Around my age.
DS: (rolling eyes) Old! You'll probably be shopping all day in that place with all the stores. The one you made us go to last time.
ME: Well, I'm sure we'll do some shopping.
DS: Boring!
DD: (snickering) Yeah, boring!
ME: Yeah, it will probably be boring. Good thing you are not going. ;)

So they weren't too upset. At least not yet. Wonder if that's a good or bad thing? :confused3  :goodvibes

We have to agree that if someone starts to feel homesick or guilty, we all get to take turns smacking some sense into them! :rotfl2: And then we'll lend them a cell phone to call home for a quick check-in. Maybe. :teeth:

This is just my 2 cents and if it is agreed upon that the majority want to stay in the bargain (sorry, can't remember what it's actually called) then I will do what everyone else wants, but I would prefer to stay in atleast a moderate. My husband and I stayed at All Star Sports last October and it just wasn't our thing (that room was teeny!). That is the only time we have ever stayed on-site but I would really love to stay at Caribbean Beach :goodvibes

I think once we get a decent head count/number of rooms needed we can probably get a group rate at one of the resorts. Last year for the paintball tournament they were offering some of the moderates for $98 a night ($148 for Deluxe)-if we could get something like this worked, and if you share a room with another person that's pretty reasonable.

Also- My husband and I are coming for a week in November, so I think I might end up getting an AP once all of our plans are set.
I'd prefer a deluxe, but I can hndle Mod..I'd really rther not do valuebut I will. Maybe we can take a poll on what level people want/can afford .Remember we can split costs

According to the Disney website, we qualify for the Grand Gatherings, here is the link for info http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/special/magicalgatherings/howTo?id=MGHowToGuidePage

IF anyone is interested- We can set-up a gatherings page that would send e-mails to all in the party and take polls on ideas, chat with other members of the party etc. I would be willing to do this, but if someone else wants to do it feel free. Actually it might be easier to set that up than to keep scrolling through these messages, I'm looking at the application now and it's pretty neat. We would just need to get everyone's e-mail to get started! You can set-up polls which would be a good way to choose the resort and any dinner reservations we would want to make! (Sorry, I'm a "planner" and get a little carried away with vacations!)
Thanks for the link. I will check it out later. Gotta go to the grocery store now. Ugh! I have no time to feed my family! I have a WDW trip to plan. :rotfl: I hope when I get back we will have more people interested. :)

And don't apologize for being a planner. That's great. This is everyone's trip and everyone has a say. Plus if it ends up being a large group, then it's great to have several people to help organize all the plans and be in charge of various duties. :thumbsup2

My moderate vote is for CS..Have people seen that posters web-site bout it? Or maybe we could pick one mod one deluxe and one values lots of people seem to be in on this now.

I'm really getting excited! I'd love to stay at a moderate, but I would have to share. And I love the idea of an "official" breakfast & an "official" dinner. I've never gone to PI, but that would be fun too. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

yeah i agree with you Jenny but am flexible
if there are 23 of us I bet we could get a great rate at a MOD and I do like coronado, but I love teh deluxes and the pools there so nice to relax to.
I wonder if we could get a discount on a tour or something. OR maybe we could do one of those scavenger hunt things
that would be soooo cool !!!!

Oohh a scavenger hunt would be very cool! I have one that I have brought on my last two trips and haven't done. It looks like a lot of fun.

Thank-you JennyMominRI for the offer to help. Appreciate that.

There are so many fun things to do there we might have to extend this to a two week trip!! Hmmmm, wonder if my DH will mind that??!! :earseek: :rotfl2:

Here is a link to another poll (we will be up to our ears in polls by the time this is over LOL). It's for the resort category. Just to get an idea.

Will check back later!

I would absoultely love to particpate in this!!! I'm stressed out from HERE to THERE lol but Im not going to vote in the poll because hoping that my Matt (handsome soldier in the picture) will be home by that first weekend of the 21st or even sooner. If I find out that plans change or he comes home alot earlier than ya'll just might find a tag along. I love this idea and hope that maybe it can be done again this spring. I wish we could do one this summer even with the awful heat. :sunny: The World just isn't prepared for what's coming  :cool1: :woohoo:
