Ok, because I have to carry around the cardboard cutout of Briarmom, DH said I may go alone. :teeth:

Seriously, already trying to plan to meet up with some people we met this last year on the 29th, and don't want to give that up, but rest of the weekend, I would love to do the all ladies meet! :cool1:

Did I mention I am a FL resident, would be happy to do what I can with the room rates. I also vote for a moderate resort, my choice would be CB.

Maybe with everyone's AP and florida resident we could get discounted rooms for everyone? Does anyone know how many rooms you can reserve with 1 AP/florida resident?

I've never actually seen the CB resort but the entrance and grounds are gorgeous!!!!

I am definitely interested in this and am more than willing to share a room with someone. A moderate sounds great as I have only stayed at values my last two trips.

Now to convince dh to let me go w/o him and dd. :scratchin

Any of the ladies going either :

1) Florida residents OR
2) AP holders?

Youll get a better discount if so.

Please keep me informed - Id like to partake.

I am a Fla resident and will probably be an AP holder by then!

Just talked to my husband and he is fine with me going and we are definitely going to be going in November as well so I'm going to check on buying an AP now!

I'm waiting to hear back from a friend if she is going to come with me, if not then I am also willing to share a room (with a non-smoker).

I'm a single woman, no kids. Can I still come? Please? I hope so, since I voted for the second weekend. I went at that time last year and I loved it! The weather was nice, the parks weren't crowded & the room rates were good. I was thinking of going that weekend again this year.

The value resorts are nice. I've stayed at All Star Movies twice. Perfect for ladies who want a nice place to sleep, but don't need much more than that. And if you share a room, it'll be reasonable.

Me too I'm single, but I'm only 24. I voted for the second weekend as well because I have been thinking about a trip around that time anyways...might as well spend it with good company :cool1:

Oh man. This sounds like fun. If only I had more money and wasn't such a youngin. I'd probably be the youngest one there. haha. That'd be interesting.

I also have an AP and a DDE card like others have said.

What is the limit for the number of rooms you can book using an AP? Anyone know? If there are enough of us with an AP or FL discount, that would really help on the room rate!

According to another website for Disney information (link provided upon request, not sure if I could post it here) you can reserve 3 rooms for each AP.

Just a Good Morning Bump! :sunny:

This sounds like fun to me. I go on girls only weekends a lot with my mother and sister (we live in FL) and a group trip sounds like fun. I haven't had a chance to browse the whole thread but from the number of responses I'd guess there are probably enough of us to get a good rate at a better hotel. Especially if we share.

He says he is uncomfortable with me going alone to WDW with a bunch of strangers. I am not sure what he thinks y'all are going to do to me,

Well, everyone knows the kind of psycho weirdos that hang out on the dis board obsessing over our family vacations with our families and kids. ;)

I once went to Canada for a week with a bunch of ladies I met online and had a fantastic time. The only harm that came of it was total lack of sleep due to so much all night girl talk.

I am so interested in this! Two problems... one, I start student teaching next fall. I wonder how bad it would be to take a long weekend??? There's always the option of putting off my student teaching until spring.

Another is money. How much total do you think it would cost? I'm definitely willing to share a room, either in value or moderate.

You could always come Friday night to Sunday and not have to take any time off?

According to the Disney website, we qualify for the Grand Gatherings, here is the link for info http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/special/magicalgatherings/howTo?id=MGHowToGuidePage

IF anyone is interested- We can set-up a gatherings page that would send e-mails to all in the party and take polls on ideas, chat with other members of the party etc. I would be willing to do this, but if someone else wants to do it feel free. Actually it might be easier to set that up than to keep scrolling through these messages, I'm looking at the application now and it's pretty neat. We would just need to get everyone's e-mail to get started! You can set-up polls which would be a good way to choose the resort and any dinner reservations we would want to make! (Sorry, I'm a "planner" and get a little carried away with vacations!)

this sounds like an awesome idea, we should look into it
i like coronade better than Caribbean,C beachis to spread out for me
another idea is to start compliling data about who says they wanna go which type of resort they wanna stay in, are they willing to share. Also after we have dates call and get prices for AP, AAA, and magical gathering for our dates and then we can get a price for every resort we are interested in and make decisions then. We might be surprised at what we get and then we can a inbetween for all of us.
WOOOO HOOOO this is gonna be so awesome

I'll be flying out of Louisville too-maybe we can fly down together!! Let me know and we'll keep each other up to date on any flying bargains.

Cool! We wanted to run down for a quick trip towards the end of my spring break but airfare out of Louisville is ridiculous!

Oh - I have an AP and would be willing to book rooms if we could get a discounted rate.

DUH! :rotfl2: I didn't even think about the dates being flexible!

Good morning all!!!

This is so exciting to see all the people who are interested in going.
Some of you have said you're in for sure. And then others have taken a "we'll wait for more details" approach. But lots of interest in this either way! :thumbsup2

I'm going to check out a link that was provided thanks to 2BigKidz. And if any one else has any info/thoughts on the Caribbean Beach Resort or Coronado Springs let me know. Not that it matters much to me since I know we won't be at the resort a whole lot, but the pics of CS are beautiful and some of the reviews from this website have said other than the rooms being a bit smaller, they felt like they were at a deluxe. :thumbsup2

Not as many kids too, which for this trip would be a good thing. We left ours at home, we don't want to have to listen to someone else's! LOL Actually when it's not mine I tune it out since I know I'm not the one who has to make them stop crying. :teeth:

I have links to this thread on two other boards (DIS meets and Theme park) so maybe we will get more people who want to join us. I'm not going to leave the poll open much longer. It's pretty obvious the dates will be 9/28 thru 10/2, since most people either didn't care or wanted that week-end.

Keep the ideas coming if you think if something. Thanks!! :sunny:
