Ladies- Just say NO...

I only wear fitted shirts and I agree that the quality of the material has gone down over the years. Also, unless I'm shrinking, I think that they are making t-shirts LONGER.

I only wear fitted shirts. I don't know why you would want a baggy, shapeless t-shirt?

I have no problem finding them in good quality, decent weight cotton.

There is something between fitted shirts and baggy shirts. Those that fit correctly but aren't tight and see-through are nicest IMO. For example, a good polo style shirt will fit right without showing off bra-lines and every little bulge. It's the material that counts.

I see people wearing the tight, clingy shirts and I bet that many of them don't look as good as they think they do. Not that I would say anything of course!

Kohl's (if you have one) has some great v-neck Ts that aren't square but also aren't clingy, I love them!
Do you know what brand name it is?

I'm wearing a slightly scooped tee from Kohl's (Croft and Barrow, I think) right now, and I love it! It's a smoothly knit, medium weight cotton (this one has a sort of paisley design), is slightly fitted, and comes down about three inches below the hip bone. Very flattering, very comfortable, very affordable. Comes in V-neck and solids, too.
I sound like an ad, huh?
Sounds like my kind of shirt I like longer shirts.

Exactly! I don't wear oversized shirts in some ramdomly big size. I wear the appropriate size and it fits nicely. I also see tons of people wearing the clingy shirts and no- they do not look good on most people. I would never say anything because it is not my business and if they feel good who am I to say? I just have no desire to wear them. I don't like the look of them.

I'm in the fitted short category. My only issue with them is when they are on the shorter side, and you bend over....
Crack kills, people!

I have to disagree. I think loose t-shirts make people look bigger and fitted t's are more flattering.

this is my answer. And I am no skinny minnie but the loose one's just make me feel bigger and frumpy.

I hate non fitted t-shirts! I'm wearing a fitted lands end t right now. reg ones make me look horrible.. I have *ahem* rather large "girls"and they just make me look fat... at least the fitted ones make me look like I only have big ****s...

I know just what you mean ....

Sorry, but I'm all for the fitted T rather than the ones cut like a box. Doesn't matter whether you're thin or curvy, loose T-shirts make you look frumpy.

I agree! I donated any old boxy ts, they are just not flattering. The trick is to get a shirt that is fitted enough to show your shape w/o being so tight that it sticks to any bumps. It can be done. The waistband of the pants, shorts, etc. is just as important to making it work though.

Merona @ Target makes some GREAT v-neck slightly fitted tees. They are pretty much the only shirts I wear, I have about 15 different colors. I am not fat, but not what you would consider thin, and I think they look great on me (and they make the 'girls' look fab). :confused3

I get what the OP is saying and I totally agree.

And fitted make you look lumpy :rotfl:

I guess we all have different ideas of what looks good, but as long as things are smooth, and you don't look like a stuffed sausage casing, or look twice your size because of the bagginess of a shirt..things are good.

There's a difference between fitted tees and tight, stick to your skin tees. I like fitted tees, but don't see the need for it to be suctioned to my body.

I see so many women out in Mom jeans and big frumpy shirts, with dirty beat up athletic shoes.. that's gross to me. I can't imagine why you would want to dress like that. I agree with the PP that said that the big boxy shirts are part of what has contributed to women getting bigger. They can just hide their weight behind a shirt and be happy. I can't stand normal teeshirts, I like the fitted shirts that showcase my body without revealing too much or making me look like a mom who doesn't care what I look like.

i am sorry I have curves and I don't mind showing them. If you look lumpy, then think about some Spanx, they fix a lot of those problems but then ohhhh no, it might not be comfortable. Sometimes you have to pick your battles :lmao:

I think those boxy tee shirts are greta to sleep in, paint in but I would never wear one out. Makes me look frumpy like a boy!

I don't see how not wanting to wear a bodystocking shirt makes you assume that I wear Mom jeans, big frumpy shirts, and dirty sneakers. :confused3 I don't wear any of those things ever.

You don't have to be snarky about it. In your siggie picture you have on a purple shirt. I would consider that a normal shirt. Is that your boxy tee shirt that you slept in or painted in? I am talking about the thin t-shirts that hug every lump. I don't care who you are, (a general you) unless you are in super fit shape which most people are not- it is not a good look. If you buy those shirts in a larger size so they don't hug they look like a stretched out shirt- even on kids.
