Ladies, if you don't wear sneaks in the parks, what DO you wear?

I too have Chaco sandals. I have bad feet and they have great arch support and to me don't look as bad as others.

I wear Keen sandals. They are soooo comfortable and versatile. They keep my feet warm if it is cool out, but also keep them cool if warm out. My whole family has them. I like them because they protect my toes in the parks and have great support and are waterproof. I 100% recommend these sandals!

I bought something similar, from Sketchers, but they are slipping off my heal,(I am going to return them) do the Keen fit better, and where did you get yours? TIA!

Do you think these would be good for kids too?

You really should try Keens. I have sketchers and they don't compare to any of the Keens I have, shoes or sandals.

My kids wear only Keens for sandals. :thumbsup2 They can be expensive, but I find bargains now and then. I just got my dd size 13 venice h2's for 25.50 shipped at 6pm.com, instead of $50, plus shipping. My ds was able to wear his last pair for two seasons, so we got our monies worth for sure. They have never complained about their feet during long days.

Check sites like 6pm.com and shoesteal.com for bargains. I found the strappy ones I have been wanting in my size on one of those for half off.

I had some crocs-brand flip flops. I usually just wear flip flops as I don't like my foot enclosed. I like to be able to stretch and have it breath.

I wear sneakers half the day and addidas foam fit flip flops. They provide enough cushioning and support to keep my feet from killing me and will breath better than tennis shoes to prevent blisters.

Birks! I got a new pair for Christmas and can't wait to break 'em in in a couple of weeks at WDW!

If I am going to be in the parks all day long I wear one pair of shoes and bring another pair along. I usually start with sneakers but end up in my croc clogs. They are not pretty, I know, but they sure are comfortable.

I did buy a pari of Merrell sandals that I am going to give a shot at wearing to the parks. They seem pretty darn comfy, but you never know how they will feel after many hours in them.

Hi,

I haven't read all the replies so I don't know if someone has already said this, but I've really taken to wearing Fit Flops. Flip flops generally aren't very comfy for me, but the fit flops do the trick.

I went with one pair I bought already, and then bought ace Mickey ones when I was there!! They are black and subtle Dis so I can wear them to work when it's warm enough.

Just my thoughts - I hope you get something you like!

First, let me say I am firm believer in proper footwear, so I do wear athletic shoes in the park. I work out a lot, so I have to buy new shoes every six months. I usually bring at least two pairs of "broken" in Adidas crosstrainers every trip. The current styles are rarely white and clunky; I don't think they look too bad.

But, I love sandals, too! I usually opt for Merrells and Keens. The Merrells typically have a soft foam sole, which are very comfortable and antibacterial . . .

The key is to rotate footwear and don't wear the same pair two days in a row.

We'll I'll say I don't have any feet problems, usually walk barefoot most of the summer months, and have pretty resilient feet used to lots of walking before I go on.

I always wear cheap plastic flip flops at amusement parks. They are comfortable to me, easy to take of if there is a ride I'm worried I'll lose them on, and they don't get wet and slosh around after a wet ride.

If it's going to be a long day, I'll wear running shoes. Sometimes I've worn Teva mush flip-flops, Crocs (the regular kind with the back strap), or a pair of sport sandals (I forget which brand). I don't like running shoes if I'm going to get wet on rides or from rain. They are definitely the best thing for my feet otherwise, though.

I'm considering trying Crocs flip-flops (Capri style, I think it's called?) or my water shoes (they are amazingly comfortable, even when wet, but I've never tried them in an amusement park). I might try out one or the other on a morning and see how it goes.

I wear tennis shoes the ones with the air holes during the day and sandals for dinner and afterward. I find changing my shoes helps.

I'm a freak about tennis shoes, I hate them and I don't even own a pair. My last trip I tried to go commando touring everday WHILE wearing regular sandals from American Eagle. I swear, I nearly died. :rotfl:
I bought some Croc flip flops from a kiosk somewhere in Epcot and I was great to go for the rest of the trip! :thumbsup2
They're pretty cute, they just look like regular flip flops. If you go to the Crocs website, you'll find TONS of cute sandals, flats, flips flops, etc - no blisters, adorable, and affordable!

Last year I bought my first pair of Merrels sandals- it was the best Disney purchase I've ever made! They required no breaking in, I wore them every day for 7 days , throughout all the parks, and never got a blister or a red mark anywhere.
They have good support and are soooo comfortable!!!!! I have since bought their clogs for work and they are also extremely comfortable for someone who is on their feet for 12 hour shifts!
You can buy them at malls or online.
THese are the sandals I wear:

I have Capri and they are nice

Along with Converse, I usually wear Teva Mush flip flops to the parks. They're very comfy but still cute and not bulky.

I have always worn sneakers but they can get hot and wet (water rides). Last time both me and my son wore Rainbow flip flops. I did get a small blister on the side of my foot after a couple of days. A bandaid was all I needed. My son did fine.

flip flops...yes the ones they have at old navy...flip flops---especially when we go down and its raining

I got Teva Mush flip flops for the first time this past trip, and I will never go back to wearing sneakers again! My feet were tired at the end of the day but they didn't hurt at all!
