Ladies, if you don't wear sneaks in the parks, what DO you wear?

Last year I wore my $3.50 Old Navy flip flops every day. I was especially glad I was wearing them after Kali :rotfl: Nothing worse than wet tennis shoes. Meh.

Editing to add that the Converse Chuck Taylor mules or slip-ons are good clunky sneaker alternatives...

Sneakers are a last resort for me at the parks if it is warm outside. I wear Teva Mush flip flops sun up to sundown and the things are awesome. I alternate them with an Adidas flip flop that has this cushiony type footbed. Honestly they don't look like they would provide support much less be comfortable for a full day of touring, but they are. LOVE them!

I've done Crocs flip flops in the past as well. The are great for support, but on me I always end up rubbing blisters on my feet with those. I never seem to be able to find ones that have cloth staps(?) across the feet in my size, so I'm stuck with the plastic/rubbery ones.

Tennis shoes. I mean come on, it's not a fashion show plus as another poster said, you won't even make the top ten. I wear them to protect my feet. Too easy to have someone step on or kick your feet, at least tennis shoes give some protection.

My favorite footwear at the parks is women in heels.:confused3

I wear Old Navy flip flops. Now, I live in Florida, so I am used to wearing them year round. They're super thin, inexpensive and comfortable - especially if it's really hot outside. If they're on the newer side, I just put Band Aids on to prevent blisters and I'm all set. They make for funny tan lines, but other than that, no complaints :thumbsup2

I love my Skechers sandals for lots of walking. My DDs love their Croc flip flops though. Although I haven't worn them to WDW yet, I wear Chuck Taylor Converses all the time at home. I'll be packing them for our May trip though!

I alternate between Croc Mary Jane's and sneakers - I'm a huge flip flop fan at home but with the amount of walking at Disney, I can't hack it.

For me, it isn't so much the shoes as the socks. Alternating two pairs of shoes and a whole lot of socks works best for me and my feet. When I'm doing serious walking in the parks, I wear broken-in sneakers with lightweight breathable jogging socks with arch support. I try to take a mid-day break back at the resort to change socks and maybe shoes. I wear Crocs Cleo sandals around the resort.

Oh, and I'm a big fan of icing down your feet at the end of the day (or even mid-day sometimes). Massage helps, too.

Flip flops. Cheap-o ones.

I wore tennis shoes the first day b/c I thought I "had" to. They were so hot and heavy. I'm just not used to wearing them. I don't care for how they look with shorts and/or capris, but more importantly I was uncomfortable. I wore flip flops all day every day after that. My mom and MIL were horrified b/c I was going to be so "in so much pain", but I was much more comfortable in them.

Flip flop girl here as well. I alternate between my Nike and my adidas ones. Occasionally I will wear my nike tennis shoes. BUT I never wear them all day. They drive me crazy. No matter what kind of socks I wear, all tennis shoes end up eating them. Always.

I also forgot to add that "big, clumpy sneaks with cute capris" will NOT be on the Fashion Police's top ten list. Just wait until you see what some people wear in public.

Ha, that's so true..clunky sneakers with capris are nothing next to muffin top, or clothes that don't fit right..you see much of that in the parks.

I'm bringing a pair of slip on backless sneakers from Easy Spirit..low profile, and they look like they're water resistant.

Keen Sandals. Super cute and pretty much blister proof. My whole family wears them. In all the years we have gone with Keen, 12 hour park days, no one has had a blister yet. :thumbsup2 Last time we went, dh had a brand new pair...he was so worried because he hadn't "broken them in". No need. They were perfect! Some of the sandals are really cute, too! My kids wear the Newport H2 or Venice H2 and dh and I wear the same. I also have a pair of strappy super cute ones that are just as good for walking as the Newports.

ETA: I can't wear crocs of any kind all day long or my ankles kill me. I bring them for the pool and to slip on when running to the main hotel building for food.

I'm a crocs flip flop wearer too! Everyone gives me grief, but its what works for me. bottom line is you have to just wear what you know will work best for you. Even if the sneakers look clunky (I think like you too) but if that is what works best for your feet, its not worth the pain and suffering to mix it up. Or, you could start taking walks in flip flops at home to prep your feet for it. Good luck!

I wear J Crew flip flops for the entire vacation and I'm comfortable.

I used to wear sneakers but they were too hot and heavy and I hated wearing them when they were wet from certain rides. I hate wearing wet shoes/sneakers.

Crocs classic style alternated with Crocs flip flops. Never had a blister or sore feet, nope, not ever.

Crocs Capri flip flops - have them in EVERY color, LOVE them, so sad they don't make them anymore :( :(
