Ladies, if you don't wear sneaks in the parks, what DO you wear?

Those sound like Psyclone's. I don't think they make them in adult sizes anymore. I had a pair that were super comfy and they were a tiny bit too small. I gave them to my sil and she has worn them for years. I love them for kids! So comfy! :thumbsup2

I looked at the Teva website - ours look more like the "Pretty Rugged" style except with ours we can adjust the toe area and the ankle area straps separately. They are more open and so air can circulate better. The ones you posted look bulkier/heavier both in the uppers and the soles compared to our old ones.

Ours were bought years ago at GI Joe's and look "cheaper" and yet they have held up beautifully. The fact that we have been able to wear them even in wet conditions (wet rides and rain) and then wash in soap and water has kept them from getting nasty/germy/smelly. My sister's leather ones only turned a little darker color of brown when they got wet but are still in great condition. I guess we better hold onto these if there aren't any just like ours anymore. :)

I'm young so maybe that's why I can still get away with this, but I'm in flip flops 24/7 once I can be, so that means the entire WDW trip I am too

I'm not sure if I'd call myself young anymore, but I am the same way.... flips flops all day, every day, as soon as the weather calls for it.

I think if you're used to wearing flip flops at home and have a nice pair (I used to get the cheap pairs in every color under the sun from Walmart or Old Navy, but a couple years ago I bought a nicer, expensive pair from Rocketdog and they are SO comfortable!), then you won't have any problems wearing them in the park.

IMO, break them in the same way you would sneakers & you'll be fine.

I actually think it depends on what you are used to wearing. I wear flip flops all the time at home so my feet are used to them.

When we went in 2009 I wore my croc flops, and some north face flops I have...never even put my tennis shoes on and my feet never hurt!:yay:

I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and though most doctors have suggested tennis shoes with orthotics to me, I cannot find any that are comfortable to me so I stick with flip flops.

In the parks I usually switch between Orthaheel and Fit Flop brand sandals, both of which I love. So in the summer that's what I live in, but if I were to do the parks in the winter months I'd certainly wear my Ugg boots.

I am also always in flip flops!! I love them and have worn them many times in the parks. My feet were never bothered. My kids prefer to wear sneakers, so they can run to the rides faster:)

I used to wear Teva Mush flip flops but my podiatrist says not to wear those anymore. My feet are a mess. I tried to wear my cleo crocs but they didn't work for me anymore either.

I can still wear Teva Hurricane sandals and chaco sandals. So I alternate those with my new balance tennis shoes.

I gave up worrying about looking stylish years ago. Now I just go for comfort.

Thank you ALL for the suggestions and links!! I'll definitely be able to find a flip flop out of these that I can wear that look nice too.

:dance3:

Reef flip flops. LOVE them. So very comfy!

I wore them for most of our last trip, but I did also wear an old worn-in pair of flip flops a few days in-between just to give my feet a break.

Teva sandals. They're comfy, they have good arch support, and if they get wet they dry out quickly. You do get weird feet tan lines, though. ;)
