Could the problem be with the discount code the CM's used? There was one code for room only discount and another code for room and tickets. If the CM did not use the correct code the ticket could have been added at regular price even tho the room was discounted.

Just wanted to say a thank you to danny25. Got our discount applied this morning. While it was only $200 at POFQ it is still a discount.

I agree. It almost sounds like something was mis-programmed. Only time will tell if danny25's spreadsheet was mis-entered, assuming 12.5% tax or if the Visa code is over-taxing tickets at 12.5% instead of 6.75%

I got room and tix and the code used was V93. What about anyone else?

We saved $1305 off the rack rate of $5389...totaling $4084 for the package...tax included.
If I figure up BCR rack rate for our dates $3409+tax, subtract the 30% discount it comes to $2386.30+tax= 2684.58. I then add the price on the 1st post for tix and tax at 6.5% to get $1361.09...for a supposed package total of $4045. Our quoted rate that I booked at was $4084...so not too far off...but I don't know what the extra $40 is for. If I try the theory of taxing the total package at 12.5% then I get $4122...which was not the quoted amount either. I am lost! At least I saved $1305 though!!

We are also going at Easter and this new deal is very bad for us as we have AP's and don't need tix. Do you have AAA? We have a 15% room discount with AAA. If we don't get an AP discount, I will need to adjust our dates and stay less nights.

We are AAA members. I have never booked with them before because I have always gotten a much better deal (Easter and Christmas weeks). It burned my this time. I went to AAA today and all the packages are sold out for our dates at our resort. We are a family of 5 so our resort options (can't afford deluxe) are very limited (POR only).

Yes it is the same deal. Disney Visa members have a week in advance to get the deal before the general public. So you could go for it now or wait.

It seems that some people is getting the discounted tickets with room reservations for less than 4 days, for example 3 nigths of room and 8 days of tickets, so really I don´t know if the first rule of 4 nigths of room to get the discounted tickets is still working or not, only to let you know about that.

I was never able to open your chart, but my total package discount seems to be more than just 30 percent off room rack rate (bc gv may 11-17), so that extra had to come from somewhere (ie, park tix). Regarding 4 days minimum, i know when i booked it the cm (who was very disney-savvy) said it was required for the park tix to be discounted, but system would let you book a less than 4 day park tix with room, just tix then not discounted.

I didnt go by Dannys chart for room rate but my math agreed with 20% discount for room and also the discounted price for park tkts

Thank you for the update. I agree there is confusion as the cm I spoke too said several times oh I didn't know that. So that is why I was wondering if I truly got the discount I was suppose to get. And now I will wait until the 3rd to find out for sure. At any rate, I did get a discount and the room I wanted so happy about that!! Thanks again for posting the information!
