Ladies and Gentleman this will be the new promotion for 2013,

Hi my friends, only to tell that tickets prices are final with taxes, please not only look the room prices you must do the maths with the room prices and the discounted tickets to get savings over the rack rates, :goodvibes

When i first seen who started this thread i thought "holy smokes..he done it again!" Thank you Danny. :thumbsup2. I find it a little funny that everybody is getting upset or frustrated when the numbers dont seem right. Danny did say this is what was in the server....he did not say this is what I put in the server. Even though Danny is more trusting than the weatherman, he doesnt have all the answers. Im just happy knowing the next discount is around the corner, and im blowing the dust off my brain trying to figure this out with the info we have...like a game. I think the next thing i'll work on is the difference in price cause of room categories? Ex. Standard, garden, waterview?:confused3

I think everyone on here loves Danny and appreciates the info! Many people on here have backed up that Danny's record so far has being right on with the promotions that come out. I think the "upset" or "frustration" you are sensing are just people trying to understand what it means. Nothing personal to Danny!

Even Danny says it's confusing so now it's just the fun (or frustrating, depending on how you look at it) speculation and back and forth q & a's that people have until January 3rd!

I still hold firm that something is amiss with this spreadsheet.

We are staying at POFQ in June. Rack rate per night is $196 for a standard view room. With tax it is $220.50. Danny's spreadsheet shows $228 per night. Why on earth would it be higher??

I'm wondering the same thing, but I guess we'll find out on Jan 3rd. I did find that when I added in the discounted tickets, I'd save a little under $200. Not much but I'll take it!

exactly, but who don´t like the misteries and suspense? :cool1:

And my savings would be under $100 once I factor in 2 discounted 10 day PHs.

I will either have to switch to POR (which would be almost a 20% savings) or wait for AP rates. There is NO WAY I am paying more than rack rate for a room at POFQ, discounted tickets or not.

I really think there is just something funny in the way they had to code this offer, to break the discount over the room and tickets. For an AoA suite, it's looking like an almost 15% discount on our total package price, and that is really not bad - better than saving 15% on the room and not getting a discount on the tickets at all. ;)

(I think Danny has pointed this out several times, that you have to factor both to see the total discount. But I don't think it's Disney trying to be sneaky or increase the price on your room, it's just a strange way the discount had to be coded on the computer to make it work right. Just a thought.)

I thought about maybe switching to POR too, but I really want to stay at POFQ. I figure I was going to close to $1800 for room and tickets, I might as well do the "discounted" room if I can save a little $$ overall. :confused3

I never "counted" on a POFQ discount since it is frequently excluded. It was the $8 more per night than rack that threw me.

As with any promo, some discounts work for some and for others it doesn't.

Our trip is 14 nights (although with the dates of this promo, only 10 would be discounted). Sure, we can save $73 on a 10 day PH. But over 10 nights of $8 more per night, most of that discount is completely wiped out. If we were a family of 4, saving $73 per ticket would offer a meager discount, but since there are only 2 of us, it just isn't worth the net savings of $66.

So come Jan 3, I guess we will probably switch to POR since our savings would be $551 ($146 on the tickets and $405 on the room). But I will keep a close eye on AP rates at both POR and POFQ to see if we can beat this deal.

Hoping that someone can confirm: From what I understand, the chart room prices DO include taxes and the ticket prices DO include taxes. Is that correct?

Hi again and sorry if this offer is not up to your expectations, but I'm thinking the same of the most of you "what kind of offer is these" i know that in some cases it's cheaper than rack rate if you buy the discounted tickets, but it's a low percentage. Really I don't like it. Ok only to let you know 2 things, first, taxes ARE included, and second, nothing more will be included in the room price, sorry again and let's see if anything change , I swear that I let you know any modification in a second!:thumbsup2

This is excellent news that tax is included.... I want to thank you again for looking at our numbers, and I'm quite happy now with this savings now that tax is included.

You're a good man for posting this for all of us!!:cheer2:

Did the math again for POR May 25th - June 1st.

Rack rates per night including tax
May 25th $240
May 26-May31 $215 (edited to add that I figured out Disney was not adding in tax in the per night rate, but the savings is still smaller that I hoped)

With this promotion
May 25 $244.75
May 26-31 $218.67

I was hoping the room rates on the spread sheet did include tax. However my total savings on a package including 7 day hoppers would be $397.16.

OK, adding to the mystery. I just looked at the deluxe resorts again. Maybe I'm crazy, but the document looks a little different than it did the other day. I am looking at 2 resorts specifically: GF RPC (Standard & Deluxe) & YC Waterview Club, May 12- 18. Tickets: 6 day parkhoppers.

GF RPC still shows as more than rack rate, as it did when I looked a few days ago. And I swear, YC rates were more than this a few days ago too. But, YC now shows a great discount! If tax is included in these rates, 6 nights in a Lagoonview Club room with 6 day Parkhoppers, my savings is now $1200!!!! :cool1:

I didn't write down rates the other day, so I can't say for sure. But here's what I'm seeing now: YC, LV Club:
Sun- Thur Rack: $655 + tax= 736
Jan 3 Discount Rate:= $561
Fri Rack: $719 + tax = $808
Jan 3 Discount Rate:= $616

Any possibility Disney is still tweaking that document Danny? Like maybe still loading discount rates in? I really hope for a split stay with YC & GF. But if I can't get a GF discount, I'll stay @ YC & hope for a bounceback @ GF in Dec! :goodvibes

According to Danny, the spreadsheet prices DO include tax. So your numbers above are incorrect as you have taxed it twice.

This is what Danny said a few posts above:

Am I misunderstanding his statement? I am reading as meaning we still have to add in tax for the room rates but not the theme park tickets.

Here's his other post on taxes being included (bolding mine):
