Ladies and Gentleman this will be the new promotion for 2013,

This is what Danny said a few posts above:

Am I misunderstanding his statement? I am reading as meaning we still have to add in tax for the room rates but not the theme park tickets.

I asssumed that Danny25's second post was to address the theme park tickets only and to state that the taxes were included. He had already addressed the fact that the room taxes were included.

Thank you! Sorry to be so much trouble. And Danny, thank you so much. Hurry up January 3rd so I can change my reservation!

Ok, so best I can tell, this is how it shakes out for my AoA suite in April. Assuming that the rates posted for both room and tickets already include tax:

Room only
Total including tax, rack rate: $2187

Total including tax, spreadsheet: $2020

So I guess a $167 discount? (8%)

And then for the tickets, rack rate of $1103 for our tickets, vs. $910 with the discount. So $193 discount, for total "discount" of $360.

That is SO disappointing. I knew we wouldn't get free dining at that time but I was hoping/expecting for something a little better than this.

So grand total:

Rack rate: $3290
Discount: $2930
Savings: $360/11%

I wonder if I can get a better AAA discount than that? AAA is usually 10-15%, correct?

What does the spreadsheet mean by single, double, triple, and quad? Most of the categories are the same for each, but the Polynesian theme park view shows higher for quad than single, but if your price on WDW website it is the same price, so I don't understand that. Please help
Thanks

Beach Club is showing less $ than Wilderness Lodge which is never the case - I wonder why?? Is this true? I prefer WL but DH prefers BC.

::yes:::thumbsup2

yes, thank you

OK, adding to the mystery. I just looked at the deluxe resorts again. Maybe I'm crazy, but the document looks a little different than it did the other day. I am looking at 2 resorts specifically: GF RPC (Standard & Deluxe) & YC Waterview Club, May 12- 18. Tickets: 6 day parkhoppers.

GF RPC still shows as more than rack rate, as it did when I looked a few days ago. And I swear, YC rates were more than this a few days ago too. But, YC now shows a great discount! If tax is included in these rates, 6 nights in a Lagoonview Club room with 6 day Parkhoppers, my savings is now $1200!!!! :cool1:

I didn't write down rates the other day, so I can't say for sure. But here's what I'm seeing now: YC, LV Club:
Sun- Thur Rack: $655 + tax= 736
Jan 3 Discount Rate:= $561
Fri Rack: $719 + tax = $808
Jan 3 Discount Rate:= $616

Any possibility Disney is still tweaking that document Danny? Like maybe still loading discount rates in? I really hope for a split stay with YC & GF. But if I can't get a GF discount, I'll stay @ YC & hope for a bounceback @ GF in Dec! :goodvibes

It'd be wonderful if they were still "tweaking" and the rates came down.

I am excited because from what I can figure out....for our dates in May

Beach Club pkg price (standard view, 5 day MYW tix for five, dining plan) Disney website $4500 (and change)

From spreadsheet numbers and posted ticket prices I am getting a total of $3700 and change!! This is a savings equal to free dining for us!

Now, must wait patiently until January 3rd!!:coffee:

Ok the taxes included makes a little more sense now. Although some of the pricing is still strange. I'm having problems with the spreadsheets. Can someone please send me what is listed for as sports, wl, and bw for April 14-22 is they aren't too busy. I want to try recalculating things with taxes included. Thanks

screw that scrooge, your posts are very much appreciated, I'm sure by 99.99999% of the (non-scrooge) people here.
I agree that I hope you don't ever get in trouble for it though.

Wow just wow. We truly appreciate any information you have given us. I think someone is getting their kicks trying to upset someone else.

And I am sure Danny25 is smart enough to know whether he is putting his job in jeopardy or not. :goodvibes

With everyone here Danny25 !!! Much love to you and for your information. Its ALWAYS appreciated.

In my case the the posted stuff doesn't even save me any money, but I am still more than happy to have the info than to stay in the dark.

DANNY25 - THANK YOU!!

Just wanted you to know that the vast majority of us here appreciate you. ::yes::

Merry Christmas:santa:

I can't help but wonder if there is some other incentive that will make the discounts (or lack thereof) more exciting. Perhaps Fastpass Plus and the Magic Band will also be announced on Jan. 3rd?!

Interesting...are they that close to rolling it out?

I just looked up our dates and we'd save close to $1000 at the BCR late May. Works for me!:thumbsup2

So to figure out the savings I would just add up the cost for each day of my stay and the cost of the tickets. The cost of the discount and tax are all included in the prices listed?

The excitement of waiting to see what happens is killing me. Thanks for sharing. Sorry some Scrooges aren't happy.

I'm seeing about an 18.5% savings on a king bed at CSR. Better than nothing, of course! Anyone figured out which ones have the larger/30% discounts?
