La Cava de Tequila - food?

Hello!

I'm in the midst of making dining plans for our early December trip (12/8-12/13). Right now I have a ressie at San Angel Inn, but am thinking about skipping the dining plan altogether and trying some new/different places.

Last time we visited the World, we had a drink at La Cava de Tequila, and I'm thinking that this trip, it would be fun to get dinner there - i.e. have some margaritas and seveal appetizers (it's just 2 of us - DH and me).

I can't find a menu on allears or WDW.com - does La Cava still serve food? Anyone have any good reviews of the food?

Yes, they still have food. We were just there last week and shared the guacamole. A woman near us ordered the chicken tostadas and she enjoyed them. The had other tostadas (crab and pork, maybe?) as well as shrimp cocktail and taquitos. I personally could make a meal out of the tostadas, an order of guac and a couple margaritas.

There were two girls in Cava with food from the QS stand outside the pavilion. The people working at Cava didn't seem to care since they both ordered drinks.

DH and I are also thinking of a light meal here during our next trp. I'm not sure how current this menu is as the PP referenced taquitos (which I don't see on the menu). But it does appear there is a least a small selection of food available.

All I know is I'm ready for a passion fruit margarita!

They also have chips and salsa for $3.50.

They do have a small selection of appetizers. And the portions are rather tiny. But the price is not tiny. It would be pretty costly to even have a "snack" with your drinks. Although the salsa and chips was reasonable at $3.50.

WOW, I looked at their menu/encyclopedia of tequila! That's mucho tequila! I think I have a hangover now.......
