Kylo Ren meet & greet coming to Disneyland!

From the movie we know none of that.

And just like with anakin, for the rest of his feelings and problems, I say "wahhh" to the character. :)

Oh come on people - you are going to fight about the movie - seriously? They are all great characters - it is only those who read too much into them that comes up disappointed. This is Star Wars - this is not brain surgery! Either you love it and you suspend all your disbelief and accept it for how it is written or be disappointed and complain, doing that just ends up sounding a little bit sad. People overall seem happy about this, let's leave it at that.

No one is fighting and yup, I do not think he is a great character by any means. I thought the movie was ok at best and set up the next few fine. Not sure what disbelief is too be suspended, it is just a movie. Being disappointed is in no way sad, but at least you removed your other rude and juvenile statements.

Well technically Darth Vader has been dead since 1983 so I was actually surprised to see him there when we did - but suspend disbelief and all that I guess...

This is like the Beast appearing in the parks even though he transforms back to his prince self. Seeing Ariel as a mermaid since she turned human. Rapunzel meets with her long hair, but it is all cut off at the end of the movie. And I’m sure the list goes on and on.

Looks like no Vader at the M&G either. Bummer. I wanted to meet him. From Parks Blog comments:
When the transition to Kylo Ren occurs in the next few weeks, Chase VISA Cardholders will also get access to the First Order leader. Darth Vader’s presence will be felt across the galaxy at “Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple.”

It was established though, him going nuts and killing the younglings that Luke was training is what made him go into hiding for all those years before they recovered the map and R2D2 re-activated.

I won't stand in line to meet a character who murdered his dad. My choice.

You do what you choose to do, for your reasons. Your choice.

I think anyone who wants to see this movie has had ample opportunity but I really think spoilers should stay away...

This makes me so sad. Meeting Darth Vader is #1 on my 5 year olds list for our trip in May. She has an outfit already and "can't wait to give him a hug". I think Disney is making a mistake with this one. Darth Vader is such a Star Wars icon. So many people would love to meet him still.

Maybe she can try the Jedi training, that might be even more fun for her?

Haha, Star Wars is a bit murder-y isn't it??!! But it probably wasn't ever destined to become a Disney property until recently. I recently watched the old movies in preparation to see the new one and I admit I hadn't paid attention to the plot very well before. Wait- Darth Vader and Darth Maul are both DEAD, thrown off tall things?! Who are the young Jedi's at DL supposed to be fighting? :D

And then Anakin goes and kills the class of young Jedi's!! I must admit, I was wondering what kids who are old enough to comprehend the plot were thinking!

But as an adult, I loved the new movie and thought it mirrored the series pretty well. And I'll go meet Kylo Ren, but I may have a word with him about the treatment of his parents! :rainbow:

I would imagine they keep Darth for Jedi Training since I don't think Kylo is ready to train anyone yet...

I laughed a little when I read this for some reason. No, I don't suppose he's quite ready for that...He must complete his training.

It's interesting how people complain about seeing a character who killed :::spoiler--you know who:::. A lot of people have been visiting Darth Vader and he killed...well...a lot of people. He chopped his son's hand off, too. People are still visiting because he's an icon and Kylo, as much as anyone likes or dislikes him, is going to be an icon of this trilogy. I personally would visit only if the lines go down, but that goes for any character in the parks. I'm not a huge fan of waiting for anything over 20-30 minutes. Now, I'm waiting for a Rey m&g. I would wait forever to meet her.

We'll definitely have to sign her up. She had a whole plan for the meet and greet so I'm sad she can't do it. She made him a bracelet and wants to give him a big hug "because he probably doesn't get any hugs". :)

We met Kylo Ren at the Visa Meet & Greet this weekend. We all thought it was cool to meet him but was a somewhat bizarre experience. Not at all like the other photography experiences in the parks. Kylo Ren was, as to be expected, completely in character. No hugs or handshakes or anything like that. He was very intense the whole time. The weird/uncomfortable part was that the photographers and other cast members in the room were the same way. No smiles and they didn’t tell us where to stand, how to pose, or anything. So most of our pictures look a bit awkward, as we didn’t really know what to do.

One of our friends in our group asked another cast member about it and they said that all of the cast members in the room during the Meet & Greet photo session were supposed to be “in character” too. But, it didn’t really come across that way. It just came across as disinterested.

Definitely the least fun photo experience I’ve had at DLR.

That is interesting. How is a CM to be in character when they are not an actual character? I saw some pictures, it looks as though Kylo lost a lot of height recently since Adam Driver is over 6'3"!
