So, what are the odds that my Red Wings CHOKE in the first round of the playoffs AGAIN!?!?! Hmmmm!?!?!?

They just clinched the President's trophy....that seems to add to the choke-age.....

Sorry for dragging your PTR OT - but at least I was talking about sewing, right? And I did manage to sew on all of the patches last night. I'm hoping they ended up in the right spots - the chart that came with the shirt was a little confusing.

I've also determined I need a lot more thread. I've had mostly the same thread assortment since I got my little sewing kit - I'm not sure exactly how old I was, but the pink gingham should give you a hint, lol. But, I haven't restocked navy blue, and for some reason, I don't have any purple - or other bright colors, for that matter. Mostly pastels and neutrals.

Oh, and to sort of keep it On Topic - ds managed to do at least a couple of his requirements on our trip! Visit a zoo or aquarium - Animal Kingdom! Visit transportation centers like airport, etc - O'Hare and Orlando airports! I think there was another that I can't recall right now. I think I put swimming lessons for his water activity, but could've used the resort pool for that, too.

As for the fabric sale - do you belong to any online sewing groups that would let you mention the sale? Heck, are there any local Disboutiquers? Can you mention it on your Etsy site? Signs at the local library?

The year the Red Wings last won the Stanley Cup, my BIL was working for them. He did an internship with them for his final college requirement for his sports management degree. He now works for an insurance company that insured the Atlanta Olympics, the NCAA, and a lot of professional sports organizations too. He's the VP in charge of amateur athletics. Pretty cool job.

Anyway, he didn't have a great experience with the Red Wings, but he's also not a hockey fan. I still love them though!

I agree that they have a tendency to choke in the playoffs, but let's keep hoping that they'll pull it off again this year. The other night at Chicago, I couldn't believe how quickly the Hawks scored three goals on Hasek. I was happy to see Osgood getting some playing time after that. He did much better!

President's Trophy is usually the kiss o death for the Wings.....we'll see. There's no clear cut favorite. Sharks look good. So do the Wings and Ducks.....

I know.... I almost wished they hadn't won the trophy. Wish they were like the Colts two years ago... having to win their way into the playoffs and then just keep it going!

this pic made me laugh, because I only have two jerseys. I have a Wayne Chrebet Jets Jersey I got right before he rretired, and a RED WINGS jersey I got for winning a bet that the Red Wings would sweep the Stanley Cup finals a second year in a row. Iused to wear it when HHBG adn I went to see the Devils-Red Wings when they were in town....haven't been to a game since we had the kids.
