KISS Challenge Check in

Good morning everyone.

Janed - sorry you are not feeling well - hope you feel better soon.

Jody - that one pound bounce is all water and will be gone PRONTO!

As for me... I am down another full pound today! Puts me at 137 which is 2 pounds from my goal! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Menu for today is:

B - 3 eggs scrambled with diced peppers and diced onions. Large mug of black coffee.

L - 3 ounces of grilled beef loin steak sliced up on a bed of 2 cups of romaine lettuce served with 2 TBS of Newman's Own Oil & Vinegar dressing.

D - 1/2 of a roasted chicken breast and 17 medium sized spears of steamed asparagus with 1 TBS of butter.

My usual supplements, water, and working out at Curves tonight.

Great Job, guys.

I'm staying off the scales today. TOM came yesterday....yuck. Feeling awful today and I'm cooking pasta salad for 140 people at the Missions Conf. at church tonight. The way I'm feeling now, it won't even be tempting. Didn't even feel like eating breakfast (you know something's wrong,then!:D), but I downed some tuna fish salad. Still on KISS. I'll just give it a couple of days.

Jody, WOW! you are just going to town, girlfriend! WWoooo!

Janed- Hope you feel better soon. That's rotten to have a cold like that so early in the season.

Dixie Dreamer - Way to go! You stuck with it and look what happened. A pound loss.

You guys inspire me so much. I know you all probably feel the same way about this group. When I'm tempted, I just think about you guys. Sometime, somewhere, we are all going to have to meet. You sound like such a neat group of people.
And we could have dinner together and have......uh.....MEAT!! :teeth: with a little salad, ofcourse.:D
 
YES Pam this group is helping to keep me inspired! I would love to meet you and the others sometime too! Are any other KISSers planning on being at the marathon in WDW in Jan.2005? That is my long term goal. To become fit enough to participate with WISHers in the 1/2 marathon!:D

9:00am - Egg salad [2 eggs, mayo]

12:30pm - Tuna Salad [6oz can tuna, 1 egg, mayo, onion, Newmans olive oil and vinegar dressing all mixed together]

5:30pm - Grilled sword fish steak
romaine salad w/onion, mushroom & Newmans O&V

 

Good morning - down ANOTHER pound today! Puts me at 136 pounds which is 1 pound away from my goal. :teeth:

Here's my menu for today:

B - 3 eggs scrambled with some diced onions and diced tricolored peppers. Large mug of black coffee.

L - 1/2 cup of chicken salad (diced white meat chicken, 2 TBS of mayo and some diced onion) on a bed of romaine lettuce.

D - 5 ounces of grilled ribeye steak, 1 1/2 cups of steamed brocolli with 1 TBS of butter.

Closing in on goal! :)

I am not following the challenge right now. We had another major family crisis this week and I am just not up for any more challenges for a while.

But I am so glad there is a group marching forward now! You are all doing so great!

11:00am - Grilled Pork Chop - Large salad
[romaine, mushroom, salsa, newmans O&V]
the salsa was a stores homemade no preservatives

5:30pm - Talapia Filets
Green Beans w/butter

 
Jody - Your menu sounds YUMMY!

I seemed to have had a two day pause in my weight loss on Friday and Saturday ... but have been sliding downwards on the scale ever since. Today was no exception. I was 1/2 pound lighter this morning - putting me at 135.5 lbs and putting my goal within easy reach - 1/2 pound. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I am in deep ketosis .... tested with the ketone strips a couple of days in a row and it was a solid dark pink. I can also tell because my appetite is significantly lower.

Today I am traveling to Seattle - flying there and back. The challenge will be lunch - but I can get a side salad at a minimum if nothing else will do from the quick lunch menu they provide. It may end up being a "light" eating day though as a result. Often that does not help weight loss. I do better with three moderate meals a day that have 4 to 5 ounce portions of protein. No snacking. I will do the best I can though.

Menu today:

B - 3 eggs scrambled with onions and peppers. Large mug of black coffee

L - Salad and dressing. Will have to see if I will have any protein options.

D - 6 ounces of baked cod and 15 spears of steamed brocolli with 1 TBS of butter.

Day 14 of my KISS challenge - met my goal! Actually I made goal last night but it is holding steady this morning. :)

Here's my menu for today:

B - 3 eggs scrambled with diced onions and peppers. Large mug of coffee

L - 1/2 cup scoop of chicken salad on a bed of romaine lettuce and diced cucumbers

D - 1/3 pound hamburger patty grilled, 1 TBS of mayo and several thick slices of my garden tomatoes.

Good morning everyone! I am officially done with the 14 day challenge! I am holding steady at my goal weight. :)

I am planning to add some modest changes in today - but I plan to ease into additions slowly. So my menu is basically KISS today with the exceptions of flax cereal for breakfast and I will have some parmesan cheese sprinkled on my italian zuchinni stirfry for dinner.
