kindle fire question

I just bought a kindle fire. I am trying to download the app for netflix and it is stating that I have to enter a credit card. I will only be purchasing free apps. Is there a way to avoid not putting in credit card info.

No way around it. You have to put a CC on file with Amazon even for free Apps. They won't charge your card.

Yep. But you can set it to require a password, that way you don't accidentally buy something. I only 'buy' free apps as well. In fact my CC is expired and they haven't even asked for an updated one...

If you put in a kindle gift card, or possibly even Amazon, it will act as a cc and let you download apps.
