Hey Dena! Well...... :rolleyes1 . I didn't make it outside to run. It was raining, and as I've said before...I'm a wuss. I did do 45 minutes on the eliptical, though. So, I'm not a total bum like I was on Monday :sad2: . But, Dena, you should DEFINITELY get out there!! I know you can do it!!! :cheer2:

Thanks for checking in with me, guys. This is a weigh-in week with Nancy (tomorrow). So WISH me luck. I've been pretty wishy-washy with my food on weekends...but I've been 100% strict this week so far & my weight is already down from Monday. The past couple weigh-in's I've stayed exactly the same, which is GREAT. But I would like to go down maybe a pound this time. We'll see how it goes.

I am feeling great, by the way. Just thought I'd throw that in there. I went for my bloodwork on Saturday, and have a doctor appointment in 2 weeks to review the results and determine what (if anything) my body is lacking.

Next week (Mon - Thurs) I will be traveling to Oklahoma City for work, so I won't be online. What am I gonna do with myself??? :confused3

Hey everyone!! It's almost FRIDAY!!!

My weigh-in was ok today. Stayed the same, even though my home scale went down again since Monday. But that's ok. I'll take it.

I'm not sure how my workouts are gonna be in Oklahoma. If there is a gym at my hotel, I might try it out. I think I'm traveling by myself...so why not, right? My friend and co-worker was supposed to go with me to do a presentation...but she can't make it now. I'm on my own!! (you guys don't live near OKC, do ya??) ;) I know my eating isn't gonna be good, since I won't have a fridge or anything.

Hope you all have a GREAT weekend!! I'll check back in before I leave!
 
Kim - Amen to the almost Friday statement!! Good weigh in this week...you didn't go up and that's a positive! Hope you have a great time in OKC and sorry to hear that it's gonna be a solo trip....sometimes though those can be the best ones! Get to do what you want to do and maybe even catch up on some rest or a good book!

Our screen porch & deck are pretty much done (I'll post pics soon), and we can start to put our furniture together. Jen (Blueeyes101817) is coming over on Sunday, and I leave on Monday. :sunny:

I went running today, and came up with a pretty obvious conclusion. Running once a week STINKS!!!! I don't know what is wrong with me, but I need to get out there more. I know a couple weeks ago it was the chest pain...but this week I had no excuse, except a little rain. I need to get over that & just get out there. It'll make the running FAR more enjoyable. Who is gonna be in charge of getting me up & going??? Any volunteers??? :confused3

My run today was fine. I did struggle a little with some calf pain on the hills, but I made it...and felt really good on the last 1/4 mile or so. Like really really good. Maybe it was just me being happy with getting up & going. Maybe I finally hit my stride at that point, maybe I knew I was almost done & that felt good. :rotfl: Who knows. I ran for 17 minutes and was a little more than 1/2 way at that point. Then I walked for 3 minutes (calf felt better immediately) then I ran the rest of the way (14 minutes)...so I finished in 34 minutes. Can't complain about that at all.

But how can I expect to improve or even just relax & enjoy it more if I don't get my hoo-ha out there?? :rolleyes1

Thanks for listening to my vent for the day. I appreciate you guys so much!!!
 
Hey Kim!! I think that's great for the running...I'm lucky to do a minute or two which frustrates DH to no end...but then he ran track in college. Do you stretch before hand? I am bad about that and always have some sort of leg pain as a result. Hopefully on your next run your calves will cooperate!

Hey guys....just a quick post. Wasn't able to run today because DH had to leave at 7am for a golf tournament (and I just couldn't get out there any earlier than that on a Sunday :sad2: ). I'm hoping for tomorrow, but if I can't, I can't. I have to get to the airport by 11am, which means leaving here at 10:30 to drive to FIL's house to have him drop me off. Before that, I'll be bringing both kids to school and getting home from that around 9. Not too much time left in there, and my nerves are getting pretty bad. The actual staying in a hotel, and driving around Oklahoma City isn't really bothering me. It's the flying by myself, and dealing with a LONG layover in Cincinnati tomorrow by myself. Guess I'm just not much of a loner. :teeth:

My hotel supposedly has free high speed internet in every room, so I will probably try to get hooked up to that a night or two. Depends on the other people from my office that will be there, if I feel like hanging with them, or they feel like hanging with me! :rotfl:

Yes, I'm back, and I am SO tired! I didn't sleep more than 5 hours total in the past 3 nights. Hotel beds just don't do it for me (I even brought my own pillow thinking that might help) AND it's even worse when I'm by myself. But I made it through, and I'm home.

I'll check back in tomorrow, going to bed for now. No running this week, and not tomorrow either. I think it's better for me to catch up on the sleep I've missed first. I'll definitely be out there this weekend.

(gotta say, I actually went to the hotel fitness center to verify it had a treadmill one day after work. I was going to go to my room and get changed & run for a little while before dinner). Wouldn't you know, the fitness center had a treadmill & some kind of soloflex thingy - BUT the treadmill had an "out of order" sign on it. So I laid down & watched a movie on HBO before heading out for dinner! Can't say I didn't try! :rolleyes1
